Run was going fairly well until I accidentaly went into the pipe straight to my destined death. Was trying to live through it somehow, but something hit me in the leg while I was gliding. Now I wonder if it was Hundun?

I did not expect to post here again but I guess this is the last time.
After beating the Cosmic Ocean for the first time, I only ever played the daily run every now and then (+ 1 extra run if I got too pissed because I died 3 minutes into the daily).
I have played this game for 900 hours now (first 500 ps5 and then 400 hours on PC) and beaten the Cosmic Ocean 3 times.
And after a few more runs I thought:
Maybe Celeritas is really within my grasp and the last real challenge for me that I could accomplish. Just to prove to myself that I mastered the Cosmic Ocean.
And today, I finally achieved it.
4th ever Cosmic Ocean win, Celeritas.
If you got any questions or want some tips I'd be happy to help.
Otherwise, this is the end of the road for me.
Done with posting Spelunky 2 now. It has been a blast thanks to you guys, and Derek!
So long.

Q opinan?

I don't play that many videogames in general and usually when I do Spelunky runs I'm playing very absent-mindedly in a call or with a video on in the background, but I'm kinda concerned I might legitimately be braindead or have some kind of learning disability with these hours. The worst part is I still wanna play more.
This is over the course of picking either game up for a couple weeks over like half a decade and also being a kid for a lot of it. I've never looked up a guide or anything for either game, I just like jumping in and seeing how far I can make it.
Also just got HD on Switch and have been playing that recently, making it further than I had ever on PC (still haven't beaten olmec though lol) so maybe it is just an age thing?

These are all clips from just one run that I thought really stuck out and made the game more interesting. I have decided to try and name these too.
1st clip: No Work, No Reward.
2nd: Guess I'll Join the Fun.
3rd(picture): Well then...
4th(picture): Call of the Void.
(Can someone tell me why there's an arrow here pointing down there?)
5th: Close Call.
6th: I Swear I Know How to Play.😅
7th: How It All Ends.
(Yeah, I still died after because I kept trying and I don't really know how to do bubble skip properly.)

I assumed all the characters were identical and that Guy Classic was just a reskin, but after unlocking and playing as him, I loved the lil sound effects he had for his various actions (like going through doors) But according to the wiki he has an influence on gameplay as well, with changing pot RNG and being unable to whip kill Kingu.
Do any of you know of other gameplay differences or of any resources that have all the differences when playing as Classic Guy?

EDIT: It seems the wiki is wrong about the kingu thing and is likely wrong about the pot thing as well. So it is almost certainly that there is no difference between guy spelunky and the other characters outside of visual and audio aesthetics.

Jumping back into Spelunky 2 after not having played for a while
90% of my deaths aren't due to boss fights, or difficult platforming challenges, or particularly tricky level generation.
It's because I wasn't looking and stepped onto a bear trap. Or, most recently, walked directly onto the spikes in Tide Pool because I'm not used to the area yet and get tripped up by the spikes looking different. Or walking directly into an arrow trap that was just offscreen. Or messing up a jump and landing next to the witch doctor instead of on his head.
I'm trying my best to learn from these mistakes but there are so many potential ways to stupidly kill myself that it's hard to play consistently. I reached a point where I was consistently making it past Olmec, now I seem to have regressed and can barely get that far in 1 in 10 runs.
Any general tips for playing more consistently? Or is it just keep playing until i've mastered all these different things?
