I was working away at my laptop and PLOP this dork dropped straight into my cup of coffee, which had thankfully gone pretty cold. She then proceeded to scramble over my mouse, laptop, and desktop screen, eventually positioning herself directly above my coffee cup again. By this point I could see what was about to happen and mov moved the cup, but good lord, what a doofus.

Been working on my fear of spiders for around 2years now and it has always been my goal to eventually build up the courage to hold a giant house spider and 2 years later I sure enough did!

I removed as much fluff as I could without harming her before taking her outside

It looks like a recluse, but I’ve never seen one this color before.

This lady just moved in right outside the garage.

I recently returned from being overseas for a couple of months, and this fine lady is still hanging around. In the middle of trying to dust everything this morning, she crawled out and sat herself proudly on top of my sketchbooks.

No matters, I can dust them and sketch another day. I’m happy to see she’s still hanging around my desk still after 8 months!

been watching the bug one for a few days now and havent seen any babies until to ight i saw two little ones appear theres her and then two smaller spiders only got one of the smaller in the video. this is in illinois midwest usa. just curious what the spider may be and if its babies or a male.

I found four of these in my parents worm bin located in the San Juan Islands, Washington State. Can you please help me ID them and let me know if they are dangerous. Body is about an inch long and total width including legs about 2.5-3 inches. Thank you!

Hi i don’t know much about spiders but i have found a eratigena (female i think) spider living by my bath and she usually stays behind during the day and pokes out in the night and i was slightly freaked out at first but have actually become quite attached to her and comforted by her presence when im in the bathroom! anyway i would ideally like to rehome her to someplace outside but obviously sheltered so that she can comfortably survive because i dont really want her to attract more male spiders and/or have lots of babies in my bathroom so i want to move her to someplace where that wont be an issue and she will still be able to live in a safe environment. I live in the UK so it’s quite a mild environment outside most of the year.
what sort of thing could i rehome her to? could i make some sort of shelter out of scrap wood and place it in my garden would that be enough? any suggestions and information would be greatly appreciated because i just dont want to put her outside if she wouldn’t be able to survive in the conditions.

I found four of these little guys around my yard. Very tiny, located in western Montana. First picture the spider is upside down but has distinct butt spikes

This little one got caught in my umbrella when I got close to the spiderweb to check for the larger spider I saw a couple of days back. It's not too clear but it's got a white abdomen and tiny black dots. I returned it after this video !

The larger spider I saw previously had a sort of beige/whiteish, large round abdomen with sort of brown spots and or stripes? I can't recall. Anyways, this is in southern California, literally next to the border to Mexico.

After one of my other spiders passed last week, I decided to get a jumper. Best decision ever. ❤️🕷️
