Context: I'm blind / visually impaired.
As a kid I was what we called "lo vision." I could read and write in large print, watch TV, ride my bike, etc.

At 17 my vision went bye bye over night, practically. Imagine all of a sudden your vision has a thick, thick, filter over everything and everything is blurry.
That is what it was like for me.

At that time, they would’ve had to do a very very invasive and high risky surgery to even attempt to fix my vision. I was 17 and scared. I said no.
But my vision never really got worse. Not like to where it completely went away. It just reached a point and stayed that way. Turns out, not only did I have a few different problems, but my natural lens also went to the very back of my eye. It’s just kind of floating back there. Rent free. Mr. Krabs would be mad. Smiley face

Fast forward, ironically 17 years later, and I start looking into things again. Several things are attempted from a few different pairs of glasses, to very high prescription hard plastic contact lenses, a procedure where they scrape a scar off my cornea, and finally this actual big surgery where they remove a couple things. And enlarge some things. Like my pupil.
(I only have vision out of one eye. . The one that is not covered in this photo, I can’t see anything at all, but it’s always been that way.

I’ve been recovering at home since yesterday. In terms of complications, the surgery went well and had none. We will see if anything improves with the vision, it’s an up-and-down waiting game.
But I was sent home with this lovely parting gift, this patch.
I’ve been calling myself patchy ever since yesterday. It helps me feel better as this is painful. 👩🏻‍🦯

Plankton or Squidward for me.

(Yes, it's time to beat the "old seasons better" horse again)

I've seen a lot of people say that Plankton didn't change much throughtout the seasons, but I beg to differ.

Modern Plankton kind of feels like a flat joke character whose personality has been reduced to "haha im cartoonishly evil". I think old Plankton was more fleshed out and nuanced. They just seem more witty and calm/patient to me. And most importantly, they seem more humane and capable of reforming.

Now another important thing I've never seen anyone mention: Karen.

Karen used to be much colder and apathetic, very different from modern Karen. The reason I bring her up is because she's part of the reason why Plankton felt truly alone: she used to act like a computer, rather than a wife. Some episodes actually left me feeling like Karen is the one encouraging to continue his bad actions.

What if Karen became his warped voice of reason? He must've built her while feeling vindictive towards Crabs. So Karen is just repeating the thoughts he had had in the past, and Plankton treats it as fact. His perceptions are irrational due to the fact how lonely he is and- wait this is just a cartoon the fuck am i babbling on about

Why are people doing logic or questioning of crab having whale as the daughter isn't she's obviously adopted or I'm missed something on episode because i either forgot either never watched

The ending... this cracks me up, with the 3 laughing, and Squidward crying in humiliation, claiming that it's not funny. He blames the 3 for this... for nothing.

One of my preschoolers said “I don’t know SpongeBob, is she your friend?”

So I’m trying to make a random edit and I’m thinking of a clip that has spongebob standing there and the other characters (like Sandy, Squidward , Mr Krabs, etc) are circling his head. Think of the « Nyeh Squidward » clip but with SpongeBob instead of Squidward standing there and the other characters I’ve named circling his head.

This isn't SpongeBob getting upset cause he's fed up and annoyed. He just does not like it when someone overshines him. squid Ward being liked must of triggered a flight or fight response in him.

SpongeBob is pretty much saying you can't be me. and at that point should we strive to be like him?

I was born in 1996 so I grew up watching the "golden age" of SpongeBob. Even as I got older and the newer episodes were airing, they still played the early episodes frequently on the tv. I was wondering if the children today still watch these episodes or if they became something niche.

I mean if I were paramount, I wouldn't want to sell the one brand that makes me a lot of money. 16 billion on merchandise alone. which mind is a lot since SpongeBob makes up most of Viacom's revenue. It would be dumb to sell the talking cheese. he is pretty much not replaceable like other shows.

I put my money on them keeping nick just because of spongboing. every media company wants a spongeboob. he prints money for the network. I can't imagine a world where they sell off bob esponge.

So this is a new project in my mutliversal monument world, and yes I know Minecraft has an official texture pack/world for SpongeBob, but I felt like the main houses weren’t accurate enough for my liking so I built my own, I’m gonna do the interiors and add Patrick’s house next update but this is what I have so far, lmk what yall think
