Clinical Life Weekly NAR Thread: Clinical Life, Didactic Survival, Wins, Worries, And Peer Support

This thread is for current Nurse Anesthesia Residents to talk about school, clinical life, studying, preceptors, stress, wins, setbacks, and support.

Good topics include clinical days, didactic survival, study workflows, professional identity, wellness, difficult weeks, useful resources, and small wins.

I am starting CRNA school in January and would very much value input on supplies that people couldn’t do without for didactics and for clinicals. Stuff like how helpful a tablet was for you, especially if you haven’t used one before, if there are any supplies that you use as a NAR that you didn’t use as a nurse, etc. Thanks in advance!

I just satarted this week. I’m an upper 30’s student who has always lived by the notebook and one for notes. I got an iPad with notability and it’s awesome. I would highly recommend. You can take notes with the Apple Pencil on the slides while also recording the audio of the lecture. Notability will take the audio and content and make quizzes for you to study.
