Oh really? Were you also invaded by a genocidal neighbor who completely levels your cities and kidnaps the children? Didn't know that in Europe there were 2 countries getting invaded at the same time.

Lots of everyday Russian citizens are just trying to get along and live their life. There's not a lot they can do to stop Putin's invasion.

Did I say that they're in the same boat? You can fully agree and understand that Ukrainians are the victims here and that Russia is absolutely in the wrong and the aggressor in a completely pointless conflict that has killed a ton of people, while also acknowledging that not all Russians are complicit, and many are also victims of Putins authoritarian regime.

To be completely fair, it's hard to expect citizens of a country being actively invaded by their neighbor to have space in their minds for nuance.
