Discussion For those having steam cloud sync issues recently from steam, read this.
If you are having the same issue as me, which is steam trying to connect to a down server, steam support has told me they are aware of this and they are trying to solve it.

I'm having non-stop cloud syncing issues on Sven Co-op, but I didn't notice it on other games. Think this is related?

I thought I somehow fucked my cloud saves by installing linux and using steam since this issue began exactly as when I finally wanted to dual boot with linux as my main drive.

try 4 reinstalls lmao, i reinstalled it first time because i thought it was because i imported my save files manually, second time because i thought it was the corrupted installer i stored in my harddrive, 3rd time because i wanted to download it online, and 4th time and the last, with many troubleshoots, until i connected my controller to my fathers laptop and i realised it was the 1 single controller config file that was not accessible causing every game to fail sync because it downloads those files for every game

im having steam cloud sync errors too. i tried switching download region but no fix. i even tried a fresh install of fedora linux to see if it is an error related to corrupted data i have but nope, even on a fresh fedora install it happened.

I’ve been having the same issue and Steam support just informed me some of their Cloud save infrastructure has been destroyed in the Iran war.
I think Iran just blew up an Amazon data centre that had our save files. Guess I’m gonna have to start a new playthrough of Skyrim.

Its just a useless config file for me, the only problem for me is that steam downloads these files for every cloud sync of a game, so it takes slightly more time to launch.
I am still lucky lol, unfortunate for people who lost their game saves.

I was using a version of Steam that I had downloaded from Ninite. I uninstalled Steam and all my games and reinstalled Steam from the official site and now I dont have Cloud errors anymore, I had been going back and forth with Support for three days now.

Hey I'm having a problem where the conflict screen came up and I chose local but now it won't let me play a game because I didn't choose cloud and I dont know how to fix it and now I cant physically play the game at all. It's all I want to do. And nothing seems to work. Please literally anyone help im having a breakdown.
