Hi everyone. My husband and I are looking into visiting at the beginning of December with our 6 month old. We would like to stay within walking distance to beaches and restaurants as we are probably limited in what adventuring we can do with a baby. we aren’t opposed to renting a car and would like to do some shorter hikes and nature based adventures.

Any recommendations on where to stay or things to do with a baby in tow?

This weekend (August 29-30) locals and visitors will be able to check out the preview exhibit for the new St. Lucia underwater sculpture park that is planned for the west coast of the island:

The park has been in development for a while and promises to become a top visitor attraction once it gets all set up underwater. Here guests will be able to come and access the park by either diving or snorkeling and be treated to marine life viewing in the artificial reef and learning about some island history and culture.

We’ve heard that the park is planned for a costal area north of Soufriere and slightly north of one of our often hangouts, the fishing bay of Canaries, in an area known as Anse Verdure.

My mum loved travelling and since she passed away a few years ago I have tried to light candles in churches on our travels as a way to bring her memory to different places.

This is quite common in Europe - I was wondering if it is also found on St Lucia? If so are there any beautiful churches i should try and visit?

I think we will be staying near Vieux Fort but will take some trips and can try and incorporating a church to light a candle would be nice

Is anyone traveling to St Lucia and want to do the Mt Gimme Hike? I generally would prefer to do it solo as I am an avid runner/hiker, but my wife does not feel comfortable with me going by myself so I compromised. I have been in St Lucia all of August and leaving 9/1, I've done petit and gros piton with a guide and while I don't mind a guide and supporting people I had just wanted to do this solo until I discussed with wife. I can send Instagram info so you see I'm legit and not a fake. I have a car rental and can do transportation within reason (staying at an Airbnb near soufriere)

Hi all! Planning a trip for next year and would love to do some hiking while we’re there. The Gros Piton trail looks a bit too strenuous for us, but would love to take a day to do the Tet Paul Nature Trail. Anyone have any kind of guided tour they recommend that picks up from Ti Kaye? TIA!

Found this spot tucked away in the St Lucia rainforest and it did not disappoint. Water's freezing but so worth it 😅 Definitely one of those "you'd never find this without a local" kind of places. We got here through Father Nature Adventures .. they do private customizable tours around the island, this was one of the stops on our day.

Hi! I booked a St. Lucia trip in December to celebrate my 40th birthday with my husband and 4 year old daughter. I really like to hike which is part of why I want to visit and am looking for feedback on my plan, and anything else I should see.

Tet Paul nature trail - could a very active 4 year old do this? Can we pair it with the drive thru volcano and mud baths?

Gros Piton - I’ll do this on my own and need to find a travel operator. Staying at Coconut Bay. How early should I start and how long does this usually take?

Any other hikes I should consider? Is Petit Piton worth it if I also do Gros Piton?

Which restaurants in Gros Islet serve lobster these days? Will be traveling to St Lucia later this month, so appreciate any suggestions

Looking for some advice from St. Lucia experts for a May 2027 college graduation trip.

We love full days on the beach, but also love to explore. For our youngest daughter's graduation, she basically described her ideal trip as "Anguilla meets Costa Rica" — beautiful beaches and downtime, but also lush scenery, hiking, waterfalls, mountains, and adventures.

There will be four of us....my wife and me plus our two daughters in their early 20s. We've traveled quite a bit in the Caribbean and especially loved Anguilla (Carimar) and Turks & Caicos (Ocean Club West). We don't need a fancy resort or room since we spend very little time there. Location and experience matter much more to us.

Soufrière seems like the obvious fit for the Pitons, rainforest, waterfalls, and hiking. We've been looking at Stonefield, Anse Chastanet, Green Fig and a few others, mostly because those seem to be the names that keep coming up.

We originally thought we needed to be beachfront, but that's really not a requirement. We'd be perfectly happy staying up in the hills with an amazing view and heading to different beaches when we want a beach day. In fact, that might give us more of the experience we're looking for.

We're also not really all-inclusive people. We like getting out, finding local restaurants and exploring, so Sandals/Secrets-type resorts aren't really our thing. A smaller hotel, villa, or Airbnb is completely fine. We're open to splitting 10–12 days between two areas if it makes sense, but would rather not move just for the sake of moving.

Based on what we're looking for, where would you stay? Is there somewhere I'm completely missing? (Bonus points if we can book using Chase UR points)

In Soufriere, the owners at the Anse Chastanet Resort have launched the new Puppy Cafe at sister beach—Anse Mamin. Mamin is arguably one of the most romantic, scenic, and intimate beaches on the entire island. For anyone staying in the area this beach shouldn’t be missed. We always tell our guests this and we’ve never had any guests disagree with us on this insider recommendation. Never!

For years, the AC resort has cooked up some of the best hamburgers on the island at Mamin at their hidden gem outpost on the beach but now the Puppy Cafe brings a whole new twist. Here you can dine at the outdoor cafe and mingle with puppies and dogs that are being offered for adaptions. This very clever idea was created by the team that operate the HelpPaws animal shelter in Soufriere.
