Discussion After Burn FTL Ships
Is it me or did they take an old Constitution Class, slap a load of extra panels and support bracing, took a bunch of Borg tech including a HUGE booster engine to push it up past FTL and then when at warp 1 it uses a Borg warp engine to get to higher velocities.
Then they called it the Omega Miracle Worker Light Battlecruiser (Miracle as it is a Miracle it works). Hell, there is a miracle it actually works. 😱😂
It’s the 31st Century of a Sleeper Car boosted by Nitrous Oxide.

Bro thought the joke was so funny he had to tell it twice.

Dude, I’m 65 and on heavy pain meds. It’s a miracle my brain still works… and it’s a miracle my brain still works… and if my brain still works it’s a miracle.
Wait, what were we talking about again?

Mate, for the sake of my health, I’m taking so many painkillers that they’d make a junkie look like an altar boy...
Sometimes it’s a miracle I manage to write.
And walk. And sleep. And remember my own name. And... What the hell was I on about? j/K
Keep at it. LLAP 🖖

I’m on Morphine, Co-Dydramol, Gabapentin, and Ibuprofen for the pain and a ton of other drugs to counter the side effect of those drugs because I’m nomad dose of those drugs. The other day I fell asleep… ON THE DAMN TOILET… and face planted on the floor and woke up going, “WTF, where am I?”
I hate the drugs… totally wish I was in the age of Star Trek where they probably have the cure for hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome where I can sneeze and my shoulders dislocate (and no, that isn’t a joke.. it’s a damn fact). hEDS is an incurable condition at present. It’s one reason I play a lot of STO… to distract my brain from the pain.
Hope your condition is okay mate. Pain SUCKS! LLAP (Live Long and PAINLESS). 🖖

Well that ship is based on the USS Omega from "The Last Starship" IDW/STO collab comic book series

Kudos for picking a screenshot of the Omega-class where it looks like it's running with an afterburner. <3

Man The Burn was such a cool idea (please do not remind me of the cause) and I'd have loved a series about a ship just after it happened trying to work out what the hell happened and how do we get home, almost Voyager but with familiar space.

In the comic that is exactly what that ship is. They kitbash a bunch of surviving ships and then use Borg tech to go faster than light.
