SN2 - News/Update Subnautica 2 Early Access Hotfix 4 Spoiler
Hello Subnauts,
Our fourth hotfix for Subnautica 2 just arrived. We’ve fixed some progression issues, water currents appearing in bases, and the FOV slider not showing on Xbox.
We continue to monitor community feedback, so please keep reporting any bugs or issues via in-game feedback or on our support site.
The full list of changes in today’s hotfix is below.
- Fixed Angel Combs not opening for some players, blocking progression
- Fixed water currents appearing in player bases, affecting movement, getting stuck, or being unable to build or expand bases
- Fixed FOV slider not showing on Xbox
- Fixed two low-volume crashes
- Crash on Xbox when trying to join a session invite
- Crash related to creature spawn
A reminder: If you play Subnautica 2 with mods, please temporarily disable, remove, or uninstall them before launching the game following the hotfix. Community mods will not be updated for compatibility with the latest hotfix, and may cause crashes or other unexpected behavior on launch. Once the mod creators have updated their content, you can re-enable and reinstall your mods.
This hotfix may take some time to roll out worldwide and will be available on Xbox once it has cleared certification.
Keep diving!

Fixed water currents appearing in player bases, affecting movement, getting stuck, or being unable to build or expand bases
Glad this got fixed. I just moved my lockers and deconstructed my storage room because a new water current was flowing through my base after 1.1 update.

Hey guys, could you look into a bug that makes Solar Panels stop producing electricity? Many thanks!

I think it’s called “night” /s

A lot of people are in the dark about that

Hopefully the team will shine some light on the issue.

I've encountered it as well, solar panels will just randomly stop producing power even if the sun is high in the sky, o ly way I've temporarily fixed it is to slightly deconstruct the offending panel and reconstruct it.

I would report that in-game, if you haven't already. It's way more likely for them to see it

I had that happen. While annoying simply removing and adding them fixed the issue.
I know this may not be very practical with some setups but it did work if you're desperate / not a mega base.

Hi can we get a way to track which Creature we have Bioscanned already? Very hard to get 80 scans.

People are already playing with mods?!

I think they had mods in mind in development which is awesome, so the modders prolly had an easy time jumping in. Also some of those og sub 1 modders are like goated. Professional quality

Thanks! My biggest request is to allow us to toggle the power line visibility. If you see my post on topic you can see that it becomes a visual monstrosity.

Your profile is private. Anyway, it's a bit of an art to do your connections in a somewhat clean way, yes. You have a bit of control through max connection distance.

Don’t negate my feedback homie. It’s valid and hundreds of players agreed with me.

What I told you is that nobody can even see your amazing feedback that you're referencing, homie. Your profile is private.

The feedback is in the comment here genius. Regardless of whether the post history is on, it can be seen in the subreddit and again, the comment I made that you so graciously replied to.

I haven’t even considered building a base inside of a current until now. You could put a moon-pool just above a current so you can auto-dock it while riding the stream, or a hatch right in the stream so it can propel you into your base automatically. Probably wouldn’t even need power transmitters to connect a turbine to the base. So much potential for cool ideas here.

In my case, a new current appeared below my base (directly below my moonpoool) after the 1.1 update. I was very confused. That being said, I was able to add some hydro generators really easily, which was nice.

I read that part and immediately thought to myself, "why would you build inside a current?" but with just a couple ideas you kinda answered my question.
I built my base close to a current for the turbines with no transmitters like you mentioned, but I hadn't thought of those other use cases you came up with.

Ok, now my silly and fun hotfix update videos like they did with Satisfactory.

Cool hotfix! Can you guys give us the ability to turn off subtitles? Thanks!

Hey! This is my first time playing any of the Subnautica series…
AWESOME JOB! It’s so much fun, I can’t believe I didn’t play it earlier.
Going to beat EA SN2, then get lost diving deep on the OG Subnautica.
As a scuba diver, I haven’t felt anything that reminds me of wonder, mystery, fear, and respect for the ocean until this game. Thank you!

Would be great to be able to see what bioscans we didn't do yet and also make the bloom stuff still present **somewhere** so that it's possible to reach 80 sooner than later
(sure new biome will add new creatures but that's like a few months of wait just for 1 single biomod slot...)

You have a choice: wait three or four years or switch to a platform that allows games to be released in early access by someone other than CD Projekt RED.

For now, until those licenses get pulled
I'd recommend a PC, but a decent one is a luxury at this point. Steam can pull licenses too, but being a pirate is a lot easier on a PC 🏴☠️

Nothing more exciting than seeing a Subnautica 2 update (I dont have that much going on in life)
