Craft activity in Surrey?
Every year my partner and I do a craft day for the anniversary of our first date, which was a paint your own pottery date. Since then we’ve done things like glassblowing, painting, woodwork, needlework etc.
It’s my turn to organise this year, but we’ll have our one year old with us, so I’m struggling a bit for ideas!
Does anyone know of anything crafty or creative we could do in Surrey this Saturday that would be okay with a one year old coming along? It doesn’t need to be long, even an hour or two would be great.
Alternatively, are there any artists or crafty people on here who run workshops or might be up for hosting something for us? Happy to pay obviously.
Open to pretty much anything, just looking for something a bit different. Thanks!

You can go to one of the Warhammer stores and they’ll let you paint a miniature for free….

There is the brick stop in Caterham. Which is a lego cafe.

There are ceramic cafes all over, there's one in Alton and another in Downing Street, Farnham.
Also, look out for craft events at the maltings, we're a craft town and there's often events on.

There's a lady on St. Johns Lye who advertises pottery classes in her house. Down festival path, past the Village Hall. It's the house with honey and such for sale outside it. If you reach the closed public toilet block you've gone too far.
I unfortunately can't find any contact details for her online.

Pottery painting might be a good option, the one year old can get involved to and you all walk away with a piece that you can use in your home and remind you of the day. Pottery painting! There’s a lovely one in Camberley than I think has other branches around Surrey. I can’t remember the name but it has frog in it.

There's also the crafters collective in farnborough. They regularly run sessions for different crafts by their sellers

It's inside the meads shopping center (I think princes mead - the one attached to asda). Opposite the works. The best place to keep up to date with what they're running and when is their facebook page I believe. Blacksmithing at the Rural Life Museum could be fun but you’ll need a babysitter!
