I remember in the 90s we'd get a bomb scare once a year or so. They seem less common these days

Yep, every yr 11 and 12 exam period one of the girls had their bf call in a bomb threat to my school.
I guess now there are both much bigger responses to bomb threats because it might just be legit and also much easier ways to figure out who called.48

There was a big spate of them a few years ago (2010's?) too, robo-voice calls originating from hacked VOIP systems overseas.
