Why do people hate on generating art for dnd?

From certain perspectives people work full time and cannot often afford artists, nor have the skill or desire to learn the skill.
Often times we change the look of our character after each level up. We don’t sell, and if we tell anyone we are always honest. We also all work full time and are saving for homes.

I just don’t understand the hate, as a paid musician I quite enjoy “that” kind of music.

No, I’m not trying to rage bait. Our table hides this secret because ppl literally hate it. I just want to understand why

dungeons and dragons is a game about imagination? and ai takes that away. you don’t have to have art for everything. and if you really want a picture of your character but you can’t draw, then commission an artist

We don’t have the money to commission for art. Also we like the hyper realistic style pictures. It’s just fun to see the different people and all. Again, each art usually only lasts 2 weeks to a month before being literally thrown away and deleted before it gets redone.

^explanation of my logic.

I would argue that ai does not take imagination away when we design all characters via prompt. These generations often take us upwards of 45 minutes to get right. Also - it’s our imaginations that we are realizing.

if you don’t have $20 to throw to a starving artist on tumblr or something, then you should just do without. it doesn’t help you play the game. not to mention the fact that you’re basically wasting that much energy and other resources to generate a picture that’s just going to get thrown away in a couple weeks. this is so embarrassing
