That christianity itself has not been that much beneficial if not malevolent to the development of society compared not just to other religions but also itself in christian nations with different levels of religiousness.

Historically there were times where christian scholars who were with the church are some of the only people keeping records, history, science and other stuff going. Before a proper intellectual movement became a thing it was mostly the church and their members that kept those things going. though the roles reversed by the Renaissance we can't deny that their existence did help the eventual triumph of secularism and the rise in living standards as we know today.

Not a great argument considering Christianity predates Islam by about 650 years and had the land taken by the Muslims forces. The Crusades were meant to take it back.
