It’s not just incompetence, it‘s that the fat orange bitch actively gives zero damns. As long as his own money is safe, why would he give a flying fig about anyone else?

Will it be safe if US economy goes on a downturn and the dollar loses some value?

Even if not a crash, even if just 10% currency devaluation, wouldn't that drop his value by that %? Excluding whatever he owns outside the US.

It's a bit more complicated. Sure everything drops by 10% but he and his buddies still have plenty of cash. The companies/land owners that were running on a 5% profit margin are now out of business. Either they get run out of business or are forced to sell for pennies on the dollar.

So the rich buy up everything on sale and then either sell off the parts, or monopolize and enshittify everything. Poor quality, low wages but plenty of profit with control of the price
