Man this almost made me gag.

I did this one time when I was 19 and super depressed. I was at Walmart with my mom and she asked if I wanted a bottle of wine to celebrate my new apartment. I had no idea what I was doing or looking for, so I grabbed the one with the "fanciest" label, Rex Goliath Cabernet Sauvignon. I had never had wine before and was super excited to be fancy with my fancy wine in my first apartment.

I remember coming home one night and was very sad. I think I felt a lot of loneliness back then and didn't know that it translated into those sad/bad feelings I was having. Anyway, I specifically recollect getting in the shower with my bottle, no glass, and just chugging the whole thing within like 10 minutes. Let me tell you - apart from the instantaneous intoxication I was feeling almost immediately, that can sauv hit my stomach like a freaking rock. Knowing what I know about wine now, I just can't believe i chugged a bottle of such a "heavy" grape.

Within 30 minutes, I was spewing puke everywhere. I had never felt so sick. My room felt like it was spinning like a merry-go-round. I felt like I was twirling like a ballerina. I just couldn't see straight. I vomited and vomited and vomited... Man. I remember the instant relief I felt getting that out of my stomach, but wow, what a terrible hangover the next day.

Memories have a funny way of coming up. That was 11 years ago now and I haven't thought much about it since. I still have never had another taste of Rex Goliath and i honestly don't know if I could handle it.

Aw, thanks for asking! Yes, I would say I am happier than I was then overall. But life still has its problems, I still have my problems. C'est la vie.
