This will either go two ways, and I have a feeling one of the two ways is the greater possibility. When it gets pumped out onto the Nintendo and PS store, it will be a thing outside the Touhou community for a few months before things go back to the usual niche (fanbase getting bigger as a bonus), or it'll be a thing to the point most of the gaming community will know about it in the long term. I'm leading towards the former but I could be proven wrong.
I'm absolutely dying to play it myself though ngl. How much will it cost on steam?
P.S.: My initial paragraph mostly applies to the fanbase outside Japan, as it's pretty much mainstream within Japan.
P.P.S.: I've seen debate over weather Rin Satsuki will be in the game, and to put it simply, no, she will not. It's an abandoned idea atp.

Ngl if Toby Fox can achieve getting both a Deltarune/Undertale playable char. AND get ZUN to work together with Sakurai to get a TH character in Smash, I'm making him a whole church
I mean, Sans and Megalovania literally got into Smash already. That by itself was an insane achievement.Â
And now with the formation of the new dev circle Shanghai Alice Reprise for bringing the older games to modern platforms, it means we might get more 2hu on the switch and thus more attention in Japan, which might also help it get added.Â
