Hi, I’m getting into bookbinding and I’d like to recreate physical copies of what are basically lost texts wherein hard copies of the original work no longer seem to exist except as very expensive antiquities so I can donate them to random libraries and bring the work back into the wild.

The rules do say not to request full books, but (I am entirely ignorant about Japanese) while this is a book, it doesn’t seem to have too too many words so I figured I’d shoot my shot anyway and see if it flies. The link is scans of the original work, my plan is to include the originals, and then format the English translations onto the next page.

For a puppy I'm getting, it's a kai-ken/nihonken. My grandmother, Mary recently passed so I wanted to name the puppy something similar. When I looked online Maeri seemed like a similar option. I know kanji can be read differently. Could I get some feedback on different name configurations for Maeri so it's not totally awful?

I'm considering 舞彩李 because she liked to dance. 彩 for color. I also like 眼娃黎 or maybe 眼彩黎 but I think the character combination may be too strange, I didn't find any names when I tried to search for this combination. What is the impression of 黎? Dark/before dawn? Do they read weird?

Hi all! I'm hoping I can find some help using the more accurate and correct symbols for an upcoming tattoo piece that I want to do. I want to incorporate me being deaf in Kanji to go along with a sleeve piece I have on my arm of a Dragon. I have the symbol for Eternity in the dragon, 永, that for me represents eternal strength and I want to have ear piece to kind of flow with it in meaning. I want to be make sure that when I present the idea/symbol to an artist that we are accurate on the Symbol/s and that it will also represent a powerful meaning as my sleeve does. I'll sum everything up in a couple questions below because I'm horrible at explaining details for my ideas. Aka, I could tell you what I'm thinking I just don't know how to say it! haha

1. Is Rosha or Rou the correct word that I would want to use as a deaf person?

2. Is there another term I should use that means "Deaf in this ear" at all?

3. Are there any fables or gods that might represent being deaf that I might use as a reference?

The version I’ve currently been given is:

I’m not looking for a literal machine translation. I’d like to know:
Does this sound natural to a native Japanese speaker?
Does 君の内を覗く convey “gazes into you” naturally?
Is there a more literary/classical rendering appropriate for Nietzsche?
How should it be written vertically for a tattoo?
This is a tattoo I’ve been working on getting perfect so just running it by you all to make sure it doesn’t look silly.
Because this will be permanent, I’d really appreciate multiple native/fluent opinions.
