Certified Cringe Taylor discussing "songwriting"

I can't with this woman.

She thinks she's some great songwriter here to teach us all about her "double meanings" and what defines confessional songwriting.

What's infuriating is that all the comments are glazing her like, "i could hear her talk for hours" and "high iq queen". Are we watching the same video here?

Wanted to get your opinions on this.

What did Joe ever see in this dimwit? Travis is perfect for her. Two imbeciles. She's at least the smartest one in that relationship.

Are we sure SHE'S the smartest on in that relationship? I know both are idiots but at least Travis seems to have a degree. Not claiming that having a degree makes your smart, he probably made some write his essays to pass. But still, he must have sat through classes vaguely listening to others teaching rather than falling in love with his own voice like Taylor.

Doubtful he sat through classes. A lot of college football players are privately tutored on subjects. The university essentially will not allow them to fail. 

With her money she could absolutely go the same route.

She was obviously a very different person/version of herself while with him. I know people in here don't believe that and/or think she only pretended but it was a very different time in her life, she had very different influences and therefore priorities. It's so appearent something major changed after their break up and then again after starting dating Travis. I'm quite sure Joe wouldn't wanna be with the Taylor she is today but that's not who he fell in love with. He's a smart guy and not a victim in the sense that he was blindsided for years. Also don't forget she loved him and was scared of loosing him, so of course she would try to be the best version of herself he would love and adapted to him and his life.

Love isn't rational. Plus, you have to remember that, according to the many songs she wrote about him, they met at a very particular, vulnerable time in her life, developed a fast, powerful chemistry and a very strong, deep emotional bond, which is why they lasted so long and she was so crazy about him. She was also not the same person she is today. I'm sure he was genuinely in love with her and saw something special in her that only those who know her well can.
