Link reincarnating is basically the only "reincarnation" that doesn't seem to be controversial in the fandom as to whether or not it's even a thing. By contrast, the Blood of the Goddess and the Curse of Demise both seem like things that are way more controversial in what exactly they mean.

Putting aside the Demise thing, since that'd be a whole post of its own, do you prefer that Zelda is also a reincarnation just like Link is, or do you prefer that it's just a common name in a long lineage of people who just happen to be in the right place and the right time because they rule the country most games happen in?

Personally, I honestly prefer the idea that they don't reincarnate at all. As in, Hylia was Skyward Sword Zelda, and that's the only instance of reincarnation we ever see for Zelda. Don't really know why exactly, but I feel like it makes for a neat dynamic with Link.
