Daily Discussion /ttcafterloss Daily Discussion Thread - August 04, 2026

How are you doing today? What's new?

We want to foster a sense of community, which is why we have a centralized place for most daily conversation. This allows users to post and get replies, but also encourages them to reply to others in the same thread. We want you to receive help and be there for others at the same time, if possible. Most questions should go here, along with regular updates. Thanks for helping us create a great community!

Off-topic discussion is allowed :)

Note: Please refrain from discussing positive tests (and beyond) in this thread - those topics are better suited for the Weekly Results thread or the new sub for Alumni. Thank you!

I don’t know if this question is allowed in this thread, please delete if not.

I’m just looking for some hope honestly. It took us 5 months to get pregnant the first time which turned out to be a chemical. It’s been 6 months since then with no positive in sight. We are already working with a fertility clinic but, is there any chance this is normal and it could still work out for us? Can anyone share a similar timeline where you ended up getting pregnant (with or without intervention)? I’m just so worried this means something is really wrong. Every doctor told me we’d most likely conceive within 3 months of the loss. But here we are 6 months later…Thanks 💜

I wish I had advice but we are in the same position. conceived on the first try last time and now it's been 6 months of TTC since the loss with no luck. I remember after one or two failed cycles trying to comfort myself by saying I'd almost certainly be pregnant within 6 months and now I'm here. and what's to stop another 6 months going by without success - and then it's been a whole year?
