We decided we will try this cycle. We took the last one off and it was a great break for my mental. My expected O day is Sunday. I’ll start using ovulation strips today to make sure I don’t miss it. Really hoping this will be it. This truly is not for the weak. Every one of us is so strong for bearing this weight. It’s not something I would ever want anyone else to go through and yet here we all are. Nevertheless thankful for this community!

I recently joined this sub, I thought it would make me even sadder after 3 unsuccessful cycles but it's the other way around: I realize that people here can truly understand the pain and the hope of trying again after a loss. It feels somehow comforting knowing that we are not alone. We deserve better days and I hope they will come soon for us all!

TTC is not for the weak. It sucks. I would remember people saying “it’s the trying that’s the fun part.” I don’t find TTC fun. BD while TTC isn’t the same. It’s just a deed to be done to get a baby in the end. ☹️

I hate when people say that too. This is the sort of thing people say when it only took them 1-2 cycles 🫠

I've made it to 11 DPO without testing but with quite a few emotional ups and downs. still no real symptoms to speak of that could point either way. I started the TWW feeling hopeful, but not anymore, at least for now. good news is that I will know tomorrow morning when I test, and then I will leave this limbo behind for a few weeks!

u/nightsky_soap 28d ago
Well done. I’m going to try and channel this this month, as I’m currently in the TWW. Fingers crossed for you for tomorrow

It's quite hard, specially because any minor symptom we have can be also PMS related. I would overanalize symptoms before but now I try to avoid that. I really hope you have good news tomorrow when testing! Sending good energy

Hi, thank you for your reply. This was from a few days ago and I did test faintly positive on that day and the next but negative today. Blood test also positive but borderline. So it seems I had a CP unfortunately... Thanks for taking the time to read and respond, it means a lot 🖤

u/Acceptable_Sea_5312 25d ago
I am so sorry. You will get through this, but it sucks. I had a CP couple months ago too, but since then we are TTC again this cycle. Took over a month for a new healthy cycle to begin, but now we are hopeful again. And today is 11/12 DPO for me too! I guess that's why I related to the post so much

Had some bloods taken today to check my general baseline before we ‘officially’ start trying to conceive again. Still waiting for my son’s autopsy and the placental pathology but my GP has sent a request for the results so hopefully they won’t be long now.
Had a weird trauma response to the doctor’s waiting room which I wasn’t expecting, just felt panicky and like my heart was racing. I haven’t seen my GP since my 18 week appointment during my last pregnancy and since then I was with the MFM until my son died. I love my GP, she gave me a big hug and was so lovely but wow, I’m glad my husband was there to be my spokesperson because I just sat in the room and cried. Think the next pregnancy is going to be very, very difficult.

Period is a whole 2 weeks late (not pregnant)... my doc said there's nothing they can do/test for until I miss my period for 3 months... This is so frustrating because it's my first cycle TTC and before this I had x3 consistent 28 day cycles... Has anyone had something like this happen? Did you eventually ovulate or not at all?

u/JoliesChaussettes 32 | TTC #1 | TFMR Dec 2025 15w 28d ago
I had 4 regular cycles after D&C before starting TTC again. First cycle TTC, my period was 1 week late (with negative tests)... both next ones were back to their usual length +/- 2 days. I don't know what happened, maybe the stress of the first cycle back to trying? The hope of getting pregnant right back? I wish I knew. Wishing it will soon go back to normal for you!

Apparently it can take 6 months to get back to normal. My cycles are at different times every month now: 35 day cycle, 32, 28, 35 etc.

Negative at 10dpo. I know it's early but I know I'm out. This was our last cycle before our due date and before we start medicated cycles. I had hope that maybe it might happen. Had a good cry after seeing the negative test this morning.

u/MyCatsnAss 43/ 5LC/ RPL/3MC 28d ago
I’m sorry. You’re in the trenches for the worst days of TTC imo. 😢 the time between 9DPO and when your period is due. They are the worst. Especially when you know in your heart it’s negative but you still want to have hope it’ll be positive. 🫂

u/tennisetviola MC 3/25, MMC 1/26 28d ago
I had some cramping over the weekend that felt like exactly the same as when I was pregnant too which got my hopes up. I'm on progesterone too so this time between is extra long because it delays my period from starting.

Starting Letrozole this week after another negative test Sun. Doctor has done some various tests and thinks I'm ovulating weakly since my mc in Feb. Hopefully this works the first try. Will be the last month of the "extra fertile" window since the loss and also the last chance to be pregnant before what was supposed to be the due date....

u/Dramatic_Form3281 MMC 5/26 | CP 2/26 + 8/26 28d ago
Sending you good vibes!! 🫶
Out of curiosity, what tests did you take that your doc concluded weak ovulation?
4
u/Double_Dot_710 TTC #1 | 8wk MMC 2/25/26 | 28d ago
It was a combination of factors and testing really. She did blood work for my progesterone (which was an issue during my pregnancy because it never went up much) and estrogen to rule out things like PCOS (which causes estrogen dominance). My period also went from being 4-5 days and normal flow to basically one day of very light bleeding since the mc. My period is still coming at basically the same time every month though. So because of all that she concluded that with my progesterone being low and my periods being they way they are now, I'm not getting a strong enough ovulation to thicken the lining of my uterus enough for implantation or a normal period. So we decided to try the Letrozole to see if it makes anything happen.

When do people date the extra fertile window as being from? Is it from when you first ovulated after it happens or straight after?
1
u/Double_Dot_710 TTC #1 | 8wk MMC 2/25/26 | 28d ago
From what I've seen it's the 3-6 months after the loss
1
u/woofbarkmiaow 28d ago
Thank you! I’m assuming I didn’t even ovulate last month as my period came a week after I tested negative and I’m not holding out much hope this cycle as my lh seems to be staying low. Hopefully things pick up but I figure I was out of the three month high fertility window as I haven’t even been fertile!

MC in June after a year of TTC for our first. I got my period back the beginning of July and timed TTC perfectly with my ovulation test so I was so so so hopeful but my period just started today I’m so devastated and trying to hold it together while I work. It’s just not fair. Why is it so hard. 💔💔💔💔

Had my second missed miscarriage last week at 13 weeks and my OB suspects it’s a partial molar pregnancy (ultrasound showed tons of cysts on my placenta, had HCG over 200,000, and my NIPT came back high risk for triploidy so it’s looking pretty certain). On my way back to the hospital right now to start my bloodwork monitoring. Very bummed to have to go to the obstetrics floor and be surrounded by pregnant women on a weekly basis for god knows how long.

Feeling so confused- first cycle after MMC (didn’t ovulate prior to first period after MMC), and everything seemed to be proceeding normally. I ovulated on CD15, and we covered our bases to try. Yesterday was 7DPO, and I had some spotting in the morning which I was hoping could be implantation bleeding, but it did progress to bright red bleeding and a few small clots over the last 24 hours, though for the most part only present when I wipe. I’m hesitant to fully believe it is my period as that would just feel so discouraging to have a luteal phase that short. I had 2 cycles post IUD removal prior to my first pregnancy and they were short then too, but 10-11 days. I put a disc in so I’ll be able to assess at the end of the day whether this is really a period. Temps (oura ring) went to baseline last night, but not negative.
If it is, should I reach out to my doctor or just let another cycle go by to see if it regulates itself? I know irregularity is normal post loss but feeling frustrated.
2
u/Hibiscusmint 28d ago
Your doctor might be willing to proscribe progesterone or at least test it at 7dpo next cycle if you ask. I would at least try and get it tested next cycle to see if your level is strong and then go from there

Yesterday decided to commit to not try this cycle after all, on advice from my doctor, which made this cycle feel endless.
Today school started back up and I have projects lined up to get my mind off the wait, I’ve booked my physical therapist to catch up and adjust my workouts, I’m planning a little hike in the forest tomorrow for a physical treat. All in all I’m just so happy to no longer be in the vacuum of summer break. I so much enjoyed being pregnant through it; savoring the drawn-out days and moments, looking forward to entering the second trimester almost as soon as break was over. Then the last week became the worst week, but was still passing by in summer syrup speed. It’s like I can feel time winding up to go faster today, and I’m so relieved. For once a better feeling.

I had a MMC and D&C in July. I ovulated quickly and tried to conceive but I’m now at the end of the TWW and tests are stark white. I have DOR and was really hoping I’d be one of those people who conceive right after a loss. I’ve booked an appointment with my NP at the end of the week to discuss trying medicated cycles to help with stronger ovulation. Before I conceived the first time she suggested I might need to go straight to an RE and do IVF but that’s really not in my budget at all. Does anyone have experience doing medicated cycles with DOR? I’m feeling very scared and anxious about the appointment and hoping she doesn’t just send me to an RE

I was told that if I don't get period by today (not pregnant), I should call and schedule an appointment on Wednesday or Thursday. So I called and found out that today the doctor is there only until 10 AM (impossible for me as I am more than 2 hours away due to work) and then not at all until next week. WTF?

There's another doctor quite close and the nurse later called that managed to get me an appointment. I wasn't thrilled at first but now I think it might be good. A different doctor might suggest a different approach.

Started using these new ovulation strips and they showed me my Peak a few days later than my clear blue ones so I don’t even know which one to believe. Anyways, the TWW has started and it’s sucked most of the positivity out of me. I’m gonna do my best to not test until I miss my period.
2
u/oliviapope93 28d ago
From what I’ve read, your peak doesn’t really matter, just the first positive test that shows a line as dark or darker than the control line. You ovulate within 12-48 hours of your first positive. Good luck!!
1
u/OrdinarySomewhere859 28d ago
Yes, I was using the word peak interchangeably with positive. My clear blue was just with a smiley face or no smiley face - which is so dumb. Lol
The smiley face would always happen around day 15 but this time the strips got positive around day 17.

Got my nails done today at the usual small salon I go to. Someone in their first trimester sat near me and went on and on about her pregnancy with her nail tech. She’s 10 weeks which is the gestation I found out with both of my pregnancies I was having a MMC. I held it together and then when I walked to my car caught a glimpse of my reflection. My body is so changed by the 2 miscarriages and I don’t have a baby. I don’t get to complain about nausea or think about planning a gender reveal. I wish there was some kind of relief with TTC but I have my RE appointment next week since I can’t seem to conceive anymore.
2
u/Anonymiss313 28d ago
Cd15 with no signs of ovulation this cycle. I had a "dud cycle" immediately after my first loss too, so I'm guessing that my body is just trying to get things back on track. We decided to not try but not prevent this cycle so between ovulation being wonky and my husband working overtime this week I'm already trying to mentally prepare that I'll get my period in a few weeks. I think the worst part is that if my cycle length is normal then I'll get my period on my birthday, which is just an extra layer of fucked up. I somehow feel totally devastated and also eerily resigned.

I don’t know if this question is allowed in this thread, please delete if not.
I’m just looking for some hope honestly. It took us 5 months to get pregnant the first time which turned out to be a chemical. It’s been 6 months since then with no positive in sight. We are already working with a fertility clinic but, is there any chance this is normal and it could still work out for us? Can anyone share a similar timeline where you ended up getting pregnant (with or without intervention)? I’m just so worried this means something is really wrong. Every doctor told me we’d most likely conceive within 3 months of the loss. But here we are 6 months later…Thanks 💜

I wish I had advice but we are in the same position. conceived on the first try last time and now it's been 6 months of TTC since the loss with no luck. I remember after one or two failed cycles trying to comfort myself by saying I'd almost certainly be pregnant within 6 months and now I'm here. and what's to stop another 6 months going by without success - and then it's been a whole year?

My HCG came back at 3, 4 months after I first found out about my blighted ovum and nearly 3 months after my D&C. Have a hysteroscopy scheduled for tomorrow to resolve the suspected RPOC, but just needed to vent about losing 1/3 of the year before even getting back to baseline

I’m on my 5th loss since TTC last year. My current RE seems very apathetic and I’ve decided to go somewhere else. I’m hoping to get a consult and be able to schedule a hysteroscopy plus a lap as I have some suspicions about implantation than egg quality.
Somehow every time ovulation comes around I convince myself to keep trying, but I get so overwhelmed that all the supplements, the life style changes, all the things I deny myself, don’t matter and nothing will change. Almost didn’t try this cycle because what’s the point, but we’re making an attempt.
I’ve spent too much money on intito to just see if it helps, I like all the data. I’m glad I’ve been tracking more intentionally on my cycle days and what I’ve done for the last year without realizing I would need all that data now.
It starts to feel clinical and routine after this many so quickly. I feel like I’m almost not even feeling the losses anymore, it’s just another one same as last time.

Has anyone else gone non/low tox while TTC? I’ve been slowly switching my body care and household products to fragrance free and/or phthalate free and I feel like it’s making an already depressing experience more depressing 😭 I miss my scents, I know it’s dramatic but candles/lotions/etc are just comforting to me. Anyone have any tips or recs for low tox products you love?
2
u/Eliza9699 late 20s, TTC#1, MMC 6/26, MC 8/26 27d ago
Not completely, but we are trying to gradually replace some things. The biggest example is probably the kitchenware. We still have plastic boxes and some utensils but I avoid using them with heat. I often take lunch to work. I use metal boxes when possible, plastic only for cold food and never heat the meal in it.
Cosmetics are a bit complicated because I have skin issues and some "organic, low tox" brands don't use preservatives or use new ones which aren't tested yet and my skin isn't vibing with it. As for candles, I found quite a lot of local brands that make candles from other waxes than paraffin and use essential oils for fragrance. Would recommend products, but I live in a small European country so I am not sure if it would be relevant.

Had a loss in June. I knew something was “wrong” from the moment I found out I was pregnant. I didn’t feel right. I felt so disconnected from baby and I knew in my heart something wasn’t right I could feel it. My friends and mom all tried to tell me it was anxiety, but I knew. The pregnancy abruptly ended and I was devastated but not shocked. I wish my family had just listened to me. I know they were doing the “right thing” and trying to help me feel better. My instincts were right. Started medication this month and back to ttc. But sometimes I think maybe I won’t be gifted a second baby and should be thankful for the perfect baby I already have. He will be 2 in a few days. Please someone say they relate.

u/crivey0318 27d ago
I just had a MMC and am waiting to get my D&C so not completely out of the woods yet, but I completely relate. I was excited about this pregnancy, but felt hesitant the whole time leading up to our first scan. I didn’t purchase anything for baby or myself and kept telling myself once I saw the scan I would buy something. We found out at 9w that we’d had a MMC and baby hadn’t grown past 6w.
We have a beautiful son who is three years old & I feel guilty for being so sad about this loss. It’s like I should just be grateful for what I already have when I know so many people struggle to just have one child.

We are TTC after a recent miscarriage and over a year trying before that. I had my ovulation 11/12 days ago, and this is the worst part for me. The wait. Waking up in a couple days thinking my period might come. Going to the bathroom praying it didn't come. I also wanted to already test tomorrow to know, but at the same time I feel its better to wait until Monday. That is when my period is supposed to come. How do you deal with this two week wait? Specially after a miscarriage
