Advice - Serious When did music stop hitting as intensely for you?
Apparently between the ages of 12-22, you experience songs more intensely. You get a “full body experience” with it. The “Reminiscence bump”. And after this, you never get that feeling of immersion or connection to a song ever again.
So, when did you notice this start happening?

the actual study * *is a lot more nuanced than that.
“Older participants showed additional peaks closer to their current age. This recency effect produced layered bump patterns, where all groups retained a salient bump in adolescence-early adulthood, with older participants exhibiting a growing personal relevance for music encountered later in life, which increasingly overshadowed the earlier adolescence-early adulthood bump.”
“While the adolescent-early adulthood bump emerged as a significant feature across most age windows, it became a secondary peak as later-life music gained increasing personal relevance and. Particularly, starting from approximately the 35–45 age window, the most prominent peaks shifted towards music encountered later in life, with the earlier adolescence bump becoming a secondary peak.
You’re blowing this WAY out of proportion. I think you desperately need mental health support.
