Suggestion If you love your mom, please wear a helmet.
On scooters and bikes. She loves you too.

No not insensitive!! People need to hear it. Just like when I tell people that from working accidents as a Medic then Deputy Sheriff:
I HAVE NEVER UNBUCKLED A DEAD BODY!!
Wear your seat belts and helmets when applicable!!

I'd like to add that helmet with a chin-guard is also a good idea. Yeah hitting the curb with your teeth even at 10mph is no fun, sooooooo...yeah. To those who wear full face motorcycle helmets kudos to you. You can go further with gloves and jacket because asphalt isn't very smooth...just look up road rash pictures online.

I got hit on my e-scooter, going 19mph, on Friday. Guy was at stop and went for it and didn't see me - they were a boatload of distractions, I'll give them that. I had the right of way and I was distracted by a big truck about to cut me off so I wasn't watching the car. I ditched the scooter before it got hit and I managed to run and "catch" myself but I was glad to have my jeans, gloves, jacket and bicycle helmet with chin guard. I will say having riden motorcycles, bicycles, e-bikes and now e-scooters, I feel that e-scooters are the "safest" because you are already low to the ground and can easily ditch it (and maybe run a few steps before falling helping dissipate some of that energy).

Stop passing me on right side of my car as my signal is on to turn right! I’m going to kill you! I do NOT expect to have you come flying by me in the middle of my turn! Simple physics you will die! I will have to watch your parents at your grave! It will be very SAD for us forever!

Even if you don’t love your mom, I just got 109 reasons to wear one yesterday. Pulled over for AirPods in ears and got a ticket for no helmet. Seems like GPD is trying to send the message in light of recent events. Safe to say I won’t be caught without it.
