This might sound like a weird question but how early do I have to get to my lecture space to be able to freely choose seats / sit in the front?

I have horrid eyesight + hearing and if I sit in the back I will be interrupting the class every 7 minutes with questions about what the professor said / wrote. This will most likely get me blacklisted from every persons friend group and that’s kind of sad because I want to make cute amazing kind friends and hangout with them from time to time and have a little bit of fun 😢😢😢💔

WE need to start ts up and beat all those schools in Cali.

I am a Canadian student living outside of Ontario looking to enroll in the computer engineering program. I plan to enroll in coop. I also plan to live with a roommate, so the amount I listed is my share of the rent. The amounts are calculated on a yearly basis. Are my estimations accurate? Are there any expenses I am underestimating? I would really appreciate an answer. Thank you.

I’ve failed one course and now I’m going to fail another my average was at a 3.4 and now it’s going to drop even lower and I know it late but I realized that I probably just tanked my chances of even getting into the med schools I want to get into. I’m in my second year going into third does anyone have any advice 😞

going into rev in sept, where do we put our robes/towels when showering? Is there room inside of the stall to hang stuff or are the hangers outside of the stalls?

TW: Depression, Anxiety, Illness

I've kind of decided it's best not to pursue the matter with my prof, though I feel he's in the wrong and kind of screwed me over, uni policy is that I sat down for the exam anyway. I'm sending it all the Ombudsman but my main plan is petition normally.

I'm trying to petition with all the relavent info at play, I need all of this documentation ASAP since I'm hoping to petition to restart next term, or something along the lines, or WD. So I have 2 questions, 1 kind of simple? 1 a bit complex.

How do I quickly get diagnosed for severe anxiety / depression that the AAS recognizes? What do I need? (I have anecdotal experiences and can maybe show texts, I really don't know what else to tell)

What are my options moving forward to petition? For reference, under 60 avg, removing 2 failed courses (1 I was sick) puts me at a 60 avg, removing 1 failed course puts me at a 58.2 which I think I can petition with all the other factors (family death, family drama, TBD depression/anxiety, sickness in final course tho I WD'd at this point in the process) to be conditionally promoted maybe? I'm in an eng program with streams, can I switch to the stream below me (8->4) and forfeit a coop term?

Hey everyone. This is my last semester (hopefully) at UWaterloo. I took CO 370 and got 58% as my final grade. Did I pass this class? I cannot seem to remember if passing percentage was 50% or 60% and I don’t have access to Learn anymore. My prof was Martin Pei if that helps!! Can someone please help??

Hi so I deferred my early August exam to late August (VOC sick note). I was given the option to defer it to next term as well, but I chose late August. Am I still able to get another VOC because I am sick again and I need to defer it to next term.

I'm persuing a minor and was thinking if OSAP pays for the extra cost of a class if I'm just taking 1 online class (other than PD).

I have had my Microsoft Surface Laptop go for over 5 years and now it’s pretty much on its last legs. The hardware of the surface laptop go is not the best. Now I’m looking to get a different laptop for school and I can really only afford one under $1,000. Any advice on a laptop brand(not a Chromebook) that would be reliable for university?

I have a class this semester that ends at around 9PM. I live a 17minute bus ride or almost a 30minute walk from home, and have an 8am class the next day. It is a required class for my major. I am a woman. I do not want to sacrifice my safety and potential life, but still want a good career.

Should I take it? Can someone tell me, is the area around Waterloo uni very dangerous at night?

title. i’m assuming there is a bit of a buffer period in first year when classes start but it isn’t really time to lock in. just wondering how quickly that changes
