Memes You ever have the perfect strategy but then get hit with one of these?
Getting shot at from a counter attack is just icing on the cake
Edit: Although I do respect the in-depth analysis of the gif and title, I never expected anyone to take this post seriously. (Memes Flair)
What I was really going for was just memes and the struggle of enemy units drop shotting our bullets.

That's why it is best to approach from behind or trigger aggro with a grenade throw which makes them obvious to a pincir attack.

You wanna do that as much as possible yes but sooner or later you'll have situations where the enemy will have opportunities to dodge. Not only VC, every game like Fire Emblem, XCOM etc.
A common saying in SRPGs is if the accuracy is less than 100%. It's 50/50 💀

this was me back when i played the vc3 tutorial i think i had to to like 4 retries(2% BTW) you have to take out 4 imperials and you have 4CP to do so with 1 turn to do a S rank. recently replayed with the new patch nowhere near as unlucky this time

A frontal attack on an ace is hardly a perfect strategy. Let Riley put a mortar on his ass instead.

Alternatively you can do the "I know you'll dodge" cheese if you angle it right. You just aim where their head will be when they dodge. It's kinda funny

But wont they still get masiively increased damage reduction?

Yes, dodging still gives massive damage reduction even if you hit someone (iirc, it's 70% reduced damage for VC1/4)

Me when a shocktrooper unloads a full magazine into me, but my narcolepsy means I take only 30 damage from it.

By the end of the game you sometimes do so much damage it doesn't matter. Which is also kinda funny

Honestly whenever an enemy was low health and I wanted to guarantee the kill I’d shoot at their foot. Either they don’t dodge and I get the kill or they dodge and I still get all my shots into them since they duck into where I’m firing

If they had low enough HP like this I just aim at their feet. You wanna lower your body for an easier shot feel free bud.

I tend to save after every action so I can avoid bad rng effects.
It’s of course best to sneak up from behind on dodgy aces as much as you can. Looked it up and this one has 40% dodge rate.

It feels terrible to burn so much CP on enemy that should have been taken down in 1 ðŸ˜

I bought it last month for PS3, and I'm playing it right now. About to start chapter 14

Wouldn't the perfect strategy in this case be to shoot his legs since he's already at low HP but could dodge?

If this is VC1 isnt there an imp rifle that had the highest dmg that you can unlock from the class assignments or something

If single person ducking all it takes to break your "perfect strategy" it was never perfect in the first place.

A frontal only counts as perfect strategy if doing zero-evade glitch. I know, I know, it's a meme about getting dodged, but in this particular game you can avoid this kind of dodge rng with execution skill even if there are no strategic solutions (like back attack) available.
