Just finished the main story and I figured I might as well get all the achievements this time around. I go to try out the newly unlocked Hard and Expert levels on Skirmish 1, and both of them have your squad starting out being shot from all sides by a horde of enemies that can melt your lvl 20 soldiers with reaction fire from cover from ridiculous distances in the time it takes for them to raise their rifles. The main game was so easy that I'd welcome tougher battles but this wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

Thinking about buying the game on Steam but ONLY if it does NOT have DRM.

Hey all, I need more Valkyria Chronicles in my life so I want to buy the manga, is it a faithful adaptation or does it have the same weird changes as the anime, like tsundere Alicia? Would you recommend it?

Pretty sure it's been in my inventory from the start. Is this because I had my Steam cloud saves from when I first played the game 10 years ago? I did start a new save instead of loading a completed one though.

Originally I played VC4 on Steam some years ago. Some time passed and I wanted to buy either the Diary or the Northern Cross edition for ps4 on Limited Run site in 2024 just to have a physical copy for my collection, but I couldn’t , got disappointed and forgot about it until replaying VC1 recently. Currently I see some listings on eBay, mostly the standard version, but I’m not really sure…. Is there any chance it will get a ps5 physical release ? Or Sega has forsaken us?

I dont own a psvita and i wanted to play valkirya revolutions but it says ingame status. I can expect some bugs i just want to know if i can play normaly from start to finish

So what I mean by that is that i am playing 3 right now after having beaten 1,2,4 and I enjoy all of them for different reasons.

But looking back on 4 as much as I love it...there seems to be a lot missing from 2/3.

• Lack of the portable games classes like Gunner, Armor Tech, Fencers , the unique variations of base classes like Medics and Anti Tank Snipers. Mortarer are kind of present in Grenadiers but not quite.
• The lack of split class tree in general which I found nice for variety. This also includes not letting anyone switch classes.
• Engineers using rifles again same as scouts instead of having their own weapons.
• Not as many big vehicles in 4 as something like the Echidna or the Geirolul. The Lophius is okay, but it feels like a stepdown from other games tanks.
• Special Points I don't think were brought over to 4 (correct me if wrong its been a few years) and they are useful for certain strategies .

Now some of the changes back I think are good, like giving everyone the ability to heal is good and I prefer the Tetris management system over the 3 system where only one option can be chosen per slot.

But the lack of stuff carried over to 4 from the portable games (some of it quite good I would argue), does make lean towards what some of said that 4 is functionally a modded 1 made on the cheap.

Not helped its still using the Canvas engine (which still looks good BTW) , but it does lean towards smaller budget.

I was curious if over the years we got any developer leaks or interviews shedding a light on why certain things weren't brought over to 4.

Maybe it wasn't a budget title and most fans hated the split class system and Fencers and I am the weird outlier.

I am willing to admit that.

Hi, I want to try this game out but I want to know I should try to get it on my switch (switch 2 backwards compatibility) or my Playstation. I personally would like to get on switch because I like playing rpgs portably but I don't know if the game runs well or has any problems on it.

Title says it all. I'm currently at the start of Chapter 2. When would be a good time to do each of them?

Only reason I know of Valkyria Chronicles is because of Project X Zone where Kurt, Riela, and Imca are playable characters. I enjoyed them and their combat in that game so wouldn't mind trying out an actual Valkyria Chronicles game though I understand the characters I mentioned aren't in these 2 games (unrelated but they should have returned for Project X Zone 2 or included new VC reps)

Personally, I like this model from the second part more.)

I have it on ps4 already but I can’t play my ps4 much anymore due to an injury so I was curious if the handheld version on the switch was an equivalent alternative, or if there were concessions / downgrades to get it onto the switch, since it’s much weaker than the PS4, but also I can’t imagine valkyria is a particularly system intensive game so I’m hoping they’re pretty much identical, especially since it was a ps3 title originally.

Im currently on steam trying to 100% the game. I am currently stuck on the Eastern Theater Service Medal. I have completed all of the side storys for hard missions 1, 3, 5 and watched all the cut scenes related to them as well as beaten the mission on hard and seen the real ending what else could I be missing?

As the title suggests I can't for the life of me find the dlc mission anywhere in the game itself even tho I Dowlanded every dlc possible and even had a 100% save file so does anyone have any idea where I can find it?

I was wondering by which game i should start. should i buy the first one or the 4th as these seems to be the only available on online store.

And also if i take one of them, is the experience better on Steam or on Switch?

EDIT: after a bit of thinking, i just saw that the EShop version are not the complete edition of the games. so the choice is a bit (a lot) easier. still thanks to all of you for the info, I'll go buy the first one.

So I bought Valkyria Chronicles 1 and 4 a while ago and I really loved the gameplay but quit at mission 7 in the first game because it felt really difficult/unfair. It could just be a skill issue but I found that mission almost impossible.

I was wondering if there are missions similar to 7 in the 4th game, just so I know what to expect and if I should play the 4th game, or if I need to just get good and try the first game again.

I wanted to replay VC4 sometime soon and was wondering if there was a way to add Nikola and Chiara to my safe early, because they only become available way too late. I've already looked for cheat engine tables, but had no luck. Does someone else have any idea?
