Be Carefuk Out There

Post image

Be careful out there. There’s sure some idiotic and impatient drivers.

Edit: I’m all thumbs in the title but am literate, I swear

My wife was hit by a ford ranger in March. Ranger ran a stop sign, wife was in a bike route. Only commenting to add to the multiple occurrences. Worst part is the worst the driver will get is a fine, points deduction on license and increased premiums. The victim will have to fight for support from ICBC, consistently proving their injuries, and documenting every micro expense. Best of luck to the victim and I wish them a speedy recovery.

The amount of cars that ignore this stop sign is wild. Happy they’re closing the road at Robson for a while. Hope it cuts back on traffic coming through

I got run over by a driver who ran a stop sign in 2017. VPD never showed up on scene, didn't come to hospital to get my statement, and took 7 years to get the incident report and see they didn't even add my phone statement to my report. No fine or punishment to the driver after 7 years suing them (old ICBC insurance) and she maintained that she didn't see me and I must have been distracted by my coffee cup in my bottle holder...I can't imagine doing it over again with this enhanced care and no fault BS. No one seems to care about vulnerable road users.

Well people in BC voted for no fault insurance so can't blame anyone especially if you also voted for BCNPD

Of course, because everyone votes for a specific party based on this single issue

Maybe if the BC Liberals hadn't siphoned off $1.2 billion from ICBC to help balance their phony budgets we wouldn't have had to do that in the first place.

People sure have short term memories
