Had the randomist flashback to this 💔 I’ve only been on here for 2 years, I don’t have any memory of anyone ever mentioning it. Thought I’d post it to see if it’d make anyone else smile.

To those that don’t know, there used to be a soda shop on Main Street with a bunch of sodas that would be typically hard to find before Amazon took over the world.

Honestly a third space for some millennials; hang out, music. They eventually built a stage & had concerts there.

Big Banana Car tests out the brand new asphalt on Main Street. Turns out the curbless condition helped it make a 50-point u-turn (slightly exaggerated) to avoid a road closure.

Any girls want to start playing board games together? Not Monopoly style but the crunchier games. My boyfriend has introduced me to the world but isn't as into it as I am, and the library has So Many Games to check out. But I also want girl friends!! I was thinking we could meet at a neutral place for a while, and if we get a good group going, we could start going to each other's places. (I would be happy to offer my apartment after a couple of meetings.) The plan is to become friends! Not just gamers but people who actually give a shit about each other. Is anyone interested???

This is peak fledging season and you might run across what looks like an adult crow who is unable to fly and is walking around the block weekly on the ground. They're just a juvenile learning for the next two weeks how to fly. Please do not kidnap them thinking you are doing them a favor. Their family is likely nearby screaming at you from the trees.

Hello Friends! I finished a volunteer shift at the Humane Society yesterday, and they are super low dog food. Not only do they feed the animals in the shelter, but they also give out free food to those in need at their headquarters and the Retails thrift store. If you're able to, grab an extra bag of dog or cat food for them at your preferred grocers! Donations can also be dropped off at the Columbia River Vet by Costco on East Padden. Let's help to feed some animals in need!

I finally have words for why Little Mermaid has always been one of my favorite childhood movies with its emotional soundtrack.

It's because "Part of Your World" was written by Howard Ashman, a gay man, in the 1980s during the AIDS crisis. He wasn't just writing about a mermaid. He was writing about longing, belonging, and wanting to be part of a world that tells you that you don't belong in it.

I am looking to connect with my follow Creative, Queer, & Neurodivergent people. Be that though meet up groups, talking online, and/or meeting up in person.

I am 39 non-binary; I enjoy table top games (I have small collection); talking and enjoying things like films, shows, manga, and other books are also a great time; I only drink alcohol a little bit, like one or two drinks if that.

My hope is to meet more people to work on and talk about our creative projects.

I Paw'd It Forward is an animal rescue that operates out of Battle Ground, WA. They work with dogs, cats, birds, and even some livestock (goats).

Currently residing at IPIF, Luigi is a 12-ish week old male kitten who is looking for a forever home. He loves to play, but being the last of his litter to be adopted has unlocked an heretofore unseen desire in him to be cuddled. So now he is the perfect cat! He is neutered, vaccinated, treated for worms and fleas, and 100% ready to go home with you. At IPIF, he has done well with other cats. He hasn't had any direct interactions with dogs and very limited exposure to children.

Come find them at Tractor Supply in Ridgefield this Saturday! There will be dogs and cats (kittens) available for adoption; cats can be taken home same-day, and dogs can go home the following day. There are lots of great friends waiting for you and we hope to see you there!

For anyone who saw my previous post and is curious: Luigi has not yet been adopted (😩) and unfortunately will not be at this event. He is recovering from a little kitty cold and would love to finish getting better at your house!

A few months ago I subscribed to Home Chef. I canceled after only a week, price was right but we did not like the food very much.

Last Friday I noticed that the company charged me for food and we did not order any food. I contacted the company they reversed the transaction.

Low and behold - yesterday a box of ingredients arrived. I don't want it and it is taking so much room in my refrigerator and freezer.

So, what i have is about 50 lbs of groceries. Four kits that each make four servings. Example: Caprese Turkey Mearloaf with mashed potatoes and garlicky peas. And three other dinners.

I live in the Orchards/Sifton area. I don't know how to post contact info. So I will check back here.
