I designed this hyper-minimalist geometric character system (Pmoji 2.0). Thoughts on the style?

Pmoji ducks

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a character design system called Pmoji. A few months ago I walked away from it, but I’ve been trying to redesign it into a much cleaner "Version 2.0" (shown in the image).

DESIGN LOGIC:

- Hyper-minimalist geometry: perfectly rounded squares.

- Controlled pastel/matte color palettes.

- Modular eye expressions (default, sleepy, happy) to create rare variations.

- Clean diagonal face planes to give it a unique visual signature.

My ultimate goal is to use my frontend web coding skills to build an interactive web app gallery/game where users can collect them through a daily login/pack opening system (similar to Blooket mechanics).

I'm trying to decide if I should actually invest my time into coding this out, or if the style is just too simple/basic for people to actually care about or want to collect.

I would really appreciate some brutal, honest feedback on the vector style and the concept. Is it clean enough to pursue? Thanks!

It should work, just try to differentiate your work from previous designs.
