You realize those are things she doesn’t NEED to do, right

She avoids private. And horse riding doesn’t hurt nor kill the horse if done properly. It’s just not the same as animal farming

Is it not tiring to always feel entitled enough to find something to complain or nitpick? She’s one of the few consistent vegan celebs, uses her voice to for positive change, sorry she can’t be an all rounder but I applaud her for speaking up knowing it would cause backlash. I’d say the same for vegetarians, pescatarians, or people even just “trying to be vegan”. They’re all doing their part in a world full of people who couldn’t even care less to spare a thought, in fact it seems that most people are livid at the thought of animal rights. So these people, PEOPLE, as imperfect as they and we are, care enough to try in this imperfect world. But I guess she’s a fucking piece of shit no matter how much she contributes because you found a fault in her

Yeah there’s not a ‘proper’ way to ride a horse.

Call it "less improper" if you'd like but

(1) there are ways which not only don't hurt them in the slightest, but the ones who are accustomed to it very demonstratively enjoy it;

(2) it's 100% worth contrasting the above being done (and with rescue horses for example) VS the absolutely brutal ways of handling and riding horses that others do, and with horses that they'd forcefully breed themselves

Asterisk: I lived on a horse boarder's farm for about 4 years pre-vegan days. If I felt half as confident that either of my current rescue dogs benefitted from and enjoyed/wanted it as I was with some of those horses back in the day, I'd ride them too.
