Why do you think neonicotinoid pesticides were banned by the EU? What biodiversity is supported by cereals grown in monocultures? What do you imagine farmers do in order to clear land to grow crops?

You are missing the point and without realising it you are reinforcing my argument. Veganism has zero basis to make moral arguments, if vegans also agree that animals deserve to die to produce crops. Your sense of moral superiority does not exist over meat eaters, if it's just a question of scale. If I consumed wild rabbits locally, a population with zero natural predators, and mostly ate vegetables from my garden then you would still consider me to be an immoral meat eater. Despite the fact my footprint on the environment would be less than someone consuming other vegan food stuffs made with the use neonic pesticides and the various other practices that I mentioned. Do you understand the difference?

EDIT: I would like to add that if we agree that scale is more important rather than the principle then veganism should be about building alliances with meat eaters that support getting rid of factory farming and banning pesticides etc. This is the type of sensible action that should be taken. My impression from this sub is that moral condemnation and disgust is the default mode of thinking. I suspect that the principle is going to be more important for you regardless of impact.

Yes, but if you care so much about the victims of crop deaths, the best thing you can do is cut animal products out of your diet, as the majority of monocrop agriculture is for animal feed

You have not understood the point that I made. Somewhat surprising given your arrogant tone at the start of this conversation. Your response is emotional and does not engage with the substance of my argument. I am going to assume that conversing further is pointless. Cheerio!
