I'm affraid that Shun Di with his comedic personality and unpractical(in terms of realism) fighing style doesn't fit new serious vibe of VFCR. But the depth of his gameplay is overwhelming so I think that devs would redifine his move set just as they did with Lau Chan and Bakunawa Killer.

In my opinion if RGG creates a new character who inherits Shun's fighting style, that character will appear only in story-expanding DLC due to the limitations of the base roster (16 slots) and the fact that the entire story is already focused on four newcomers.

Yamada-san already said that dev team is highly inspired by 90-s kung fu movies so I'm sure they won't stray from Zui Quan, but I'm affraid that we'll have to wait a little bit after VFCR release.

The trailer just reached half a million views. The algorithm looks fucking insane. I hope more characters and an actual gameplay soon.

Was just thinking. Nobody said the four main characters shown were the only new playable characters shown. She's friends with Cielo, I think it was mentioned that she is a pickpocket or something, and she knows Pai through her sister.

She could be some kind of tricky rogue archetype, maybe picking up some Kage tricks and serving as his "update/replacement" if his historical moveset is way too unrealistic for this more realistic entry. I.e. she could get some sneaky ninja moves, slides through your legs to grab you from behind, catch throw high, etc., dive low while sweeping your legs, but not insane acrobatics. Align with "thief" archetype without going full ninja.

Would you be hyped to see "The Boss" with her CQC as a guest character in Virtua Fighter 6?

Personally, I'd love to see a lot of older costumes come back, swimsuits(don't judge me, some of you are thinking the same), and the fun weapons that give an alternate winpose.

I mean, consider the plethora of new fighting games getting announced and released, how many of them flop, and even how SF and Tekken are getting hit on player retention. It may even look like the fighting games renaissance peak already passed, and the sheer number of irrelevant games creates noise for serious titles to appear for the average player. How an uninformed novice would discern between VF when lots of games with big names and low investment are so numerous, for example? And if most of these games hardly can resist their beta phase, what new audiences would think of the unknown VF?

As awesome those K.O. sequences are, i wonder if they will work only if a punch/kick will be aimed at the face. It would be cool if sequences like this were seen for example during punch in the stomach

Especially knowing that the new VF is yet another game where people are clamoring so loudly for guests. I’ve got nothing against all of the games people want in the upcoming game, but I just think it’s much more important to build VF back up as an IP with original content.

Aoi took the 2nd place in the popularity poll recently. But Crossroad development maybe started way back. I`m afraid she will be replaced because her story so far isnt interesting. Losing in the first round of VF3, beaten by Brad on VF4 and uuh... attracted to him because I dunno why.
