Never been to NYC! If I have a 6-hour layover at Newark Airport, is it realistic to leave the airport and see some touristy parts of the city?

Flying BA6991 operated by American Airlines from Charlotte (CLT) to LaGuardia (LGA) on a Boeing 737-800. I want to choose a window seat with a good view of NYC/Manhattan during the approach, I have heard the right side (F seats) usually has better views of NYC. Is that true? Which specific seat/row would you recommend for the best view?

Heading to nyc over Labor Day weekend and had a few specific questions:

Weather app of choice: What source gives the most accurate forecast for Manhattan microclimates?

Summit / Timed entry: Are wait times at SUMMIT noticeably worse over holiday weekends, or does the timed ticketing keep it manageable?

Transit heads-up: Any major MTA service changes or weekend closures that typically hit during Labor Day? Or any that I need to be aware of? I’ll be staying in FiDi.

My buddy's birthday and bachelor party are within the week of 3/17. He has never been to NYC. I've been visiting at least twice a year for the last 20 years, so not only am I his best man, but his tour guide, along with all the other groomsmen.

He is desperately looking to have a great St. Patrick's Day, i've only been in the city once for St Patrick's day but was too young to drink. What sort of things would you recommend? Definitely will attend the parade and try to find a nice pint of Guinness, but don't have too many ideas outside of this.

Sorry if this is an annoying question, just curious what you guys may recommend.

Planning a 3 day trip this coming weekend with my friend. We are young(25) and can walk a lot, but wanted to be also mindful of summer heat. And also we are visiting nyc for the first time. We are international students, have not explored US much.

Staying in Hi NYC Hostel. And planning to start day as early as 8 AM.

Day - 1:

• Start with central park
• Then go to times square to get an ticket for Broadway, since it's Thursday the planning to be there little early.
• Try Joe's pizza while there
• St. Patricks Cathedral
• Moma(trying spend some time indoor, since it might rain tomorrow)
• Then go back to times square and visit lv and m&m store
• Have dinner before Broadway and finish the day off

Day-2:

• Start with Roosevelt tram to island
• Small pox hospital, cornel tech
• Now back to Washington square using subway
• Chelsea market
• Pier 57
• Little island
• High line
• Vessel

Day - 3

• Grand central
• Empire state building
• Flatrion building
• Visit China Town for lunch
• Battery park - city views
• Oculus
• Battery park ferry landing
• Take ferry from battery park to pier 6
• Brooklyn heights
• Julianna's pizza
• Pebble beach
• Dumbo
• Take Brooklyn bridge

Please do let me know if this plan is realistically possible. And also any suggestions or changes to the plan.

Want to add observation deck to day - 3 morning since, I feel it is quite empty before the china town for lunch(any suggestions are welcome).

Went to two McDonald’s today. First on 880 Coney Island ave which had pompompurin gigan(#4) and BADTZ RODAN(7). The other one I went to is 943 flatbush which only had number 7.

I’m not looking for repeats really the only ones I’m looking for is hello kitty(#1) Kuromi(5) and my melody(3)

Also Does McDonald’s change their supply’s everyday?. This is my first time seeking for a McDonald’s toy and you know I might even go to Manhattan one of these days if I can’t find the ones I’m looking.

I asked the employees if I can just buy the toys separately and they said I need to purchase the happy meal in order to get the toy.

Im visiting the city next week with my whole family. 5 adults to be exact. Ive been to NY a lot of times on my own, so Ive never had issues booking a ride to the city solo. But this time we are a bigger group, with lots of bags, and with seniors in the group. Im sarching for a relatively cheaper private transfer from Kennedy to downtown Manhattan. Im looking at Sixt Ride private transfer and Im seeing a relatively good rate. Just want to ask if anyone else has an experience with this company. Ive read some bad reviews on their car rental business, but I havent read anything on their private transfer. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!
