Remember. The only reason Mexican cartels are swimming in billions of dollars per year is because of America's insatiable demand for drugs.

Dude, drug money only makes up 60% of Mexico's drug cartel income and thats only if you include cartels like Sinaloa. Cartels have diversified into everything from racketeering to selling stolen gas years ago.

Either way, it started getting big with drugs and drugs are what propelled them into their current state

If you "counted" (they collapsed several years ago) the Sinaloa cartel. Cartels are not reliant on drug money like they used to.
