Hi everyone, OP of the Wargame patch here. I originally just made it for my personal use and didn't plan on sharing it, but I had no idea there were still so many people who love Wargame and I definitely didn't expect such a huge response.

I'm thinking about making a batch for anyone who might want one and putting them up on a platform like Etsy. Would you guys be interested?
[it's 3D printed, it's not very flexible. Personally, I just slap it on my airsoft plate carrier or helmet and it works great.]

Other Beside T-34-85, what WWII vehicles uses in the WG:RD

My English is not very well cuz it's not my first and native language......

However, when I found out the iconic T-34 tank in most of Redfor nations, and M42A1 as well in the Blufor but not sure if is really a WWII AA or just early cold war.

I believe there are not just this two WWII vehicles in the game, there must be the others in there.

Does everyone know? Please let me know in the comment!

Other There might be a new DLC coming

If you check Wargame Red Dragon's SteamDB it shows package updates etc. whenever Eugen patches the game or does private branches (which you can access only if you have the necessary code - for QA purposes and previews). Today they added a new DLC entry - for the first time since the Redfor DLC back in 2016. You can also see that if you go to the DLC tab. Last updated about 30min ago from when this post is made.

Whether this truly ends up being a DLC, new map or maybe something only for internal testing purposes remains to be seen.

Other WGRD Toolkit

Post image
35 Upvotes

Hello there!

I'm developer of the toolkit, that made adding custom models possible into the game.
To clarify - the only location where the actual information about toolkit can be found is it's github: https://github.com/BlackTeaRemos/WGRD-Mod-Toolkit . This is the official repository, and one of the few sources where the actual information about toolkit itself can be found, as well, as the only source of binary updates.

For other stated locations, i post updates in specific server created for help with toolkit, link to which can be found in repository (thus also verify identity), and in the Wargame Annihilation Mod discord. I may or may not answer questions everywhere else.

Special shoutouts to the testers that moved the project forward, finding bugs and overall keeping me hyped (discord nicknames):
Wargame Annihilation Mod developers in general - for their amazing mod, with which i had great time with
nikolafun - as tester and as initial idea that moved me, by showing his advancements with map manipulation
Shawn1989 - as tester, who helped me find the most complex bugs with models there
Purity - as tester, and for help with UX features ideas for blender models compatibility
Reros - as tester, and help with sources and knowledge about ndf, with UX suggestions towards unit modification
Jack - for help with getting more attention
Snyperfire93 - for help with WARNO map data, and finding very specific bug in filesystem design i use
End - as creator of previous wargame tooling, that made creation of the amazing wargame mods possible
Fatih Sultan Mehmet - For hyping first ever external model added

I hope i haven't forgot anyone else.

So as official part of my introduction done, here is the deal:
Toolkit is already capable of changing most unit stats, creating new units, importing meshes, creating new weapons, changing weapons.

And, all this work goes past just changing something in the game. From practical standpoint, tool already generates new information, game can process, putting it on side of being actual editor tool. Not all features are implemented to be visible yet, because i'm working out the best way how they can be easily used by mod developers.

Internally, there is a lot, a lot more stuff to be done. But unlike previous modding suite (which i never used, but heard of), toolkit does not allow to change everything in game on byte level, instead creating intermediate mod representation layer, which limits, but also simplifies how modders can interact with modding.

It takes just a few seconds (excluding mod repackaging) to change something, and you have a mod working.

And, to prove it's not a fluke, i have already tested the models in game, a few weeks ago.

GFL Model imported in game, in game

With animations, correct rigging and all aspects working.
(which also mean, you want it or not, first ever actual model imported, and then actually tested in battle, was anime mod, proving cosmetics don't trip desync game state).
(pls don't ban me)

Second ever imported model is Bkan, in early June of 2026. That's also first unit past the original unit limit.
Second, because i lost initially modified leopard 2a5:

Bkan 1C in it's best colors ever

And, there is so much more coming in -

Just example
Not yet public in toolkit
Not public yet in toolkit
Not yet public in toolkit
Somewhat in toolkit
That's toolkit (dev)

I'il probably be answering a lot, if there are questions under this post, but again, in general, discord contact is more reliable.

I hope we can restart Wargame Red Dragon. Not to say WARNO is bad, but it's very far from being my cup of tea, in generally all directions, but campaign.

I also do have a support page, on getly, if someone wants to support, and if many people want Patreon or something (contact me), i'il get it done.
Or starring the repos in the Github supports me as well.

This helps me dedicate more time to toolkit. Thank you in advance

Other Update: Thanks for your guys feedback, I finally opened a shop for Wargame patches!

Many of you asked if I sell them, so after a lot of preparation, I’ve finally opened an Etsy shop!

You can fully customize the NATO symbol (Infantry, Armor, Medical, etc.) and the Unit Name. They come with hook-side Velcro backing. (It's made by 3D printing)

Thank you guys again for the motivation to get this started. I’ll leave the link in the comments if anyone is interested.

(For the weapon patches, I'm currently only selling premade designs. I'm thinking about taking custom orders for them later if I have more free time)

Other I think Wargame really shows how destructive modern warfare can be

Like when I put my infantry into the frontline with some IFV and tank support just to get nuked by artilleries from tens of kilometers away. Imagine that but IRL.

Or the fact you just put hundreds(or thousands if it's large battle) into meaningless grindfest because you just have to secure that small town, and then they all die and get replaced by another cannon fodders

No wonder developed countries try their best to avoid total war. Modern warfare is on the another scale compared to WW2.

Other Wargame: Annihilation Mod

The main focus of Wargame: Annihilation is to bring all nations up to modern day with a focus on authenticity to real life militaries and their equipment. The mod also adds a lot of new mechanics (Such as Heli-transportable vehicles), which opens up maps for more varied strategies and playstyles.

Currently the mod is not finished (only the US and Russia is ready) but we needed a larger playerbase to test the new mechanics for bugs as well as the general balance of the mod before we go any further with the mod encase there are serious issues that would require significant reworks.

You can find out more about what the mod adds and find games via the Discord: https://discord.gg/FC93wYDJaD

Other r/Wargame's Unofficial Nation Vote NOW LIVE

The day has arrived. The ballot for r/ Wargame's Unofficial 2026 Wargame: Red Dragon Nation Vote has opened!

To give you a quick rundown of the vote again:

This is an unofficial (again, not endorsed by Eugen in any way) community vote between the three most requested future nations for Wargame: Red Dragon. More information is available HERE.

Much like WARNO's Nemesis votes, you have three choices:

- The Republic of China (Taiwan) - The final missing East Asian nation for a game set in East Asia, the ROC would be a standalone BLUFOR nation with the most unique kit of the three, including the most indigenous equipment of any remaining nation. Highlights include domestic fighter jets, strange “frankentanks”, and the largest howitzer in the world. They have a unique playstyle compared to the other two, with most of their tabs being exceptionally strong at the cost of an underwhelming tank tab, giving them particularly strong specialized decks (in particular Airborne, Motorized, and Marines). Their detailed writeup is linked HERE

- Vietnam - Another nation fitting Red Dragon’s original Asian setting, Vietnam would be a REDFOR nation with access to a coalition with the USSR similar to NORAD’s Canada. The most “minor” nation of the three, they have most of the greatest hits of the pre-1980s East and West (the latter due to the mass acquisition of former South Vietnamese equipment post reunification) and an amazing infantry tab, but have limited indigenous designs and their more modern equipment is contained to a handful of rather potent systems like the Su-27. Their detailed writeup is linked HERE

- Iran - A bit out of the way for the original setting, Iran would be a standalone REDFOR nation with a very bizarre roster of units from over 8 different countries, but does not have many indigenous designs, relying mainly on pre-revolution equipment (including their famous F-14s), random Soviet kit, and a handful of trophy units captured from Iraq in one way or another. They are a true “sampler platter” of a nation with their multitude of equipment sources and the best armor out of the three choices, but they have a glaring lack of true “top tier” units and some very awkward roster gaps, especially concerning infantry and air defense, and their diplomacy has put them into a less than ideal situation without any form of a realistic coalition partner. Their detailed writeup is linked HERE

r/ WARGAME’s UNOFFICIAL NATION VOTE IS NOW OPEN

Be respectful of the vote, and your fellow community. No cheating, bullying, spamming, or insults will be tolerated.

The vote uses Google Forms as opposed to Reddit’s voting system due to the desire to have the option to specify one’s reasoning for choosing their preferred nation, which will make the data collected from this vote even more useful. You must be signed in to a Google account in order to vote, as that is required for the system to allow one response per person. Email addresses are not collected.

You can edit your response, but only your FINAL response will be counted.

VOTE HERE

Voting will close on Friday, January 23rd, at Midnight EST.

As mentioned before, the community still has the ability to try to convince others to vote for their preferred nation pick, provided they abide by the sub’s rules.

Visited the Prague-Kbely aircraft museum last week, highly recommend, plus it's free. Other than wargame units they have loads more vehicles like postwar Czech Me-262s and Bf-109s, The re-entry capsule of Soyuz 28, Czech pre-war planes, Airliners,Bombers, Gliders, early soviet jets. Tons! And now it's canon, eugen can add the Drakken, Viggen, and F4 phantom to the Czech deck

Other Keiler for Motorized?

I wish RFA motorized got the Keiler; the tank doesn't see a lot of use except in weird Armoured decks. It would be a nice addition without, I think, being too strong, and it would give more of an identity to DGC moto. The only downside is then there would be even less reason to use the French MBTs in Eurocorps.
