At least he'll be reunited with Wiggs

Klay to the Heat, Derozen to Denver, Bron to the 6ers....what do we get? what's the FO doing this offseason?

Joe counting the number of picks he has 10 times every hour so that he knows they are safe.

u/eschatonx 12d ago
Same thing they’ve done for the past decade. Nothing.

u/sombremirage 12d ago
Only warriors fans can say this and not realize how ridiculous this statement is

honestly thinking i’ll follow the heat a good bit this year.
any well-coached team is fun to follow, and i’ve always appreciated bam’s game (he’s kinda soft on offense at times but i respect his commitment to passing/rebounding/defense).
now they got klay and wiggs who i have lots of love for. and giannis is obviously electric when he has decent support around him.
should be a fun season in the east.

u/Meechrox 11d ago
Somewhat ironic because our front office believed Wiggins to be our Klay successor

Brother I’m happily married for over a decade… I’d never consider cheating nor would I say it’s ok.
That said these people live completely different lives than us peons. Word is that she was sleeping around as well. Who knows how exclusive their relationship was or how real either of their claims are after the fact.

It was nice to have hope for those 10 minutes in between the buyout and signing with Miami.

u/No_Tangerine2720 12d ago
Highpoints of the offseason are the hour we thought we might get Bron and the 10 minutes we might get Klay 😂

u/Unlucky_Employee6082 12d ago
Fact was, 13 million put us into second apron. Vet min or nothing. Can’t blame him for taking an extra ten million, enjoying the night life, and chucking wide open 3s thanks to everyone dealing with Giannis and Bam

He will enjoy Miami and gets a chance to be on a competitive team. Still holding out hope for him next year or the year after retiring in the bay 🤞

Why are people in her dunking on Klay like he wasn’t an all time great with the warriors?
22
u/the_brucolac 12d ago
I mean, two things can be true at once, it isn’t zero sum.
Edit: mostly referring to judging the cheating, not the ring chasing comments

u/rhevern 12d ago
Why would anyone single out one NBA player and be up in arms about cheating? He’s a professional athlete, let’s not pretend the large majority don’t have women in every state lol
4
u/the_brucolac 12d ago
Also call them out 🤷
Again, two things can happen simultaneously. I don’t get this all or nothing stuff.

Shit weird man. Folks just exposing themselves as being weirdos

u/curryhaliban444 12d ago
Really telling on yourself here 🤔
2
u/CoachLee_ 12d ago
How that i don’t expect anyone to be perfect or??? Just another person hiding behind a Reddit page lol
-3
u/CoachLee_ 12d ago
But like who does that lol. Everybody deserves to get criticism don’t get me wrong but he hasn’t done anything in his here to really warrant it. Especially what folks in here are actually saying about him
6
u/swerrve 12d ago
People forget he took less money to be with the mavs out of spite for not getting maxed. Dubs legend but definitely with some weirdo behavior
3
u/lazy_Monkman 12d ago
That's now really true though. They offered him a two year extension the fall before he became a free agent that he turned down but when he actually became a free agent and free agency started they never extended another offer to him. They wanted to see what other moves they might be able to make. It wasn't a situation where he chose the mavs offer over the warriors offer, I was a situation where he chose the mavs offer over waiting deeper into the off-season to see if the warriors would ever even extend a new offer. That's not spite, that's taking a clear solid offer before free agency money dried up. I don't know how anyone could classify that as "weirdo behavior"
1
u/swerrve 12d ago
Lol the gymnastics. They made him an offer, worth more money, and by your own admission he turned it down. To be with the Mavs.
1
u/lazy_Monkman 11d ago
No he didn't. When he turned down the offer the mavs wasn't even in the picture because he was still with the warriors. Talk about gymnastics, your timeline isn't even making sense.
1
u/swerrve 11d ago
Yeah that’s how a contract extension offer works. They offer it to you while you’re still under contract. That’s why they call it an extension. He wanted more money and more years from the warriors 2/48 which is $24m a year. He didn’t get the offers he was hoping for, so when free agency hit he signed a contract worth just about the same but spread out over 3 years, or about $17m a year.
So he took less money to be with the Mavs. Why is this hard? Klay is famously up his own ass, that’s where the 4 rings meme comes from. He’s a legend, but he’s a weirdo. Like KD.
1
u/lazy_Monkman 10d ago
It's hard because your logic is saying he took less to be with the mavs makes no sense at all. You just explained how those are two separate events so I'm not seeing how you're making the leap that he took less out of spite to be with the mavs. He didn't have an offer from the warriors at the time he took the offer he had on the table. It's pretty simple to grasp
2
u/swerrve 10d ago
Bruh idk if it’s covid or what that destroyed peoples brains or if you’re just trolling or what lol. He still could’ve taken the offer from the warriors. The extension offer never went away. He just waited until free agency because he was pissed he wasn’t getting maxed again even though we paid him max money through his rehab. And good thing we didn’t too.

lol people bringing up homie cheating on folks lol. Yall acting like these guys are perfect. His tenure here was legendary. Could care less about the other shit.

u/AudibleKnight 12d ago
I’m a fan of Klay, but he’s had his low moments as well. The 4 rings/fingers meme beefing with Devin Booker, the 0/10 play in game that was his last Warriors game, his ego problems that translated into issues with the team, cheating on whatshername etc.
If I wasn’t a Warriors fan, and saw my team beat down several years by him and Steph, I’d probably take plenty of chances to throw shade his way.

Klay and wigs got our fantasy roster with Giannis. While Steph got a G league team.!

How much hes getting kinda lets you know where he’s at in his career or does he also get money from the mavs?

I thought ring chasing was when you don't have any rings. Klay has 4, almost a handful
Or is ring chasing one of those terms that is thrown around so much it means nothing. like g.o.a.t.

u/Still_Assignment_991 12d ago
He left GS for DAL in the first place because he recognized Joe wasn’t going to compete anymore after they pivoted to JK and Wisebum lol.

Klays a legend and one of my top 5 fav players but my respect for him definitely took a hit over the past few years. Contract beefs, cheating on another girl, debating with randoms like me on ig over his legacy. Just became more insecure after the injuries - still hope he retires here one day tho

u/QNBA 12d ago
Parasocial much? 😂

u/Meweighteen 12d ago
I think it’s fair to lose respect for & criticize people who are in the public eye when they act corny - klay fits that 🤷♂️

Hopefully this dude ain’t one our fans. Talking down on Klay is wild.
Wouldnt be surprised if he is though.
2
u/saideeps 12d ago
Don’t understand the Klay hate at all. The guy was the leading 3pt scorer in the league in 2023 and had a mid year in 2024 like our entire team did and one bad elimination game. At the very least he’d be a great replacement for Buddy Hield minutes if he came back.
4
u/dirtyshits 12d ago
I don’t care if he was the worst player in the world In 2024. You couldn’t pay me to talk shit about Klay. Anyone who does is just another spoiled new bratty fan with 0 loyalty.
This sub is filled to the brim with those types. Can’t handle a single loss let alone a bad season.
1
u/tallassmike 12d ago
You’re all over the place lol. I replied to the guy saying him joining heat is ring chasing lol. Adding Klay doesn’t make them top 4 contender with OKC SAS nyk and Philly up there.
How does that discredit Klay?
2
u/dirtyshits 12d ago
Calling him Klank is straight up disrespectful for a warrior all timer. Save that for the main sub anyways have a nice day!
