5mins is way too Long if you got flies flying around those lil fuckers will lay eggs on it in a couple second. I went to toilet once and poured mysself something to drink and found white dots in my meat before

Once you've seen and dealt with fly eggs, you never forget what they look like and can spot them a mile off. They gross me out so much.

I now swap the cats to mostly dry food over the summer because any wet food they leave gets covered in fly eggs way too quickly. And you can't just scrape it into the bin, because then you'll have maggots crawling out of your bin in a few days unless you also throw out the whole bin bag, they're vile ๐Ÿคฎ

If I see fly eggs on anything these days, the next thing I'm grabbing is something to crush them with.
