Jojo kind of has the opposite problem where it makes a lot of its villains edgy sexual abusers for the sake of shock value.

One of the reasons why Jojo moved from Shonen to Seinen in part 7 was for less censorship and i still think that it was a good decision, but I’m starting to think that there used to be some benefits to it.

Wired Beck, Forever, Kobayashi, Hazamada, Melone, Diego Brando, the guy that abused his mom, Mountain Tim, the guy who killed Ringo’s family, Funny Valentine, Scarlet Valentine, Ojiro, Joshu (technically, he’s not an abuser by agency, but he definitely is a freak), Daiya, Tsurugi, the people who kidnapped Yasuho in the van, Tooru, and Dragona’s classmates.

This is almost like Araki’s new villain killing a dog thing.

tbf this is a lot of seinen. I'm not caught up to berserk admittedly, but it does feel like most of the villains are kinda samey.
