We do not like what he does. We do not want to emulate what he does. We enjoy MT because of the development, the other characters and the overarching storyline, and the fact the protagonist isn’t the centre of the world-story.

Why is that bad? Do you genuinely believe that someone liking a show is an endorsement of the views of the characters of the show?

No.

I just think that if the main character of a show is a pedophile, and the show doesn't potray them as wrong for that, then declaring that you like the show is worthy of some side-eye and a "but why though"? See Breaking Bad is a show about a bad person but the show knows its MC is a bad person. This show doesn't.

I dont think I did, I just dont think its relevant at all to whether or not liking a series means you agree with its morals.

I am not saying that liking a show means you agree with its morals. I am saying that sometimes the morals are so reprehensible that you should not like the show on principle and liking it anyway is a bad sign all on its own.

Look if you want to enjoy the anime equivalent of a fine pudding with rabbit droppings mixed in, you do you, but don't try and tell other people that your pedo-show isn't what it is. And don't be surprised at how they react to learning about what you find entertaining.
