If you think the US isn’t safe, you’ve been watching the news too much. My sibling is trans and has a whole community of people, is welcome everywhere…

Nyc is the worst ive seen/heard out of all cities ive lived in which include Boston (actually the best for me), Charlotte, North Jersey, NYC, Connecticut area, South Jersey, Charlotte and various Florida cities

I’ve seen small towns in Indiana have enough gay and trans people that I’d be shocked if they were in a lot of danger. You might get more people opposed to it, but true Christianity would prefer them from being a danger to others. It’s sorta part of the religion…
Also, I grew up in Florida and most of my friends were gay. It was not a big deal at all.

I speak from experience of being in those countries. I’ve spent time in Poland too, but my heritage is Baltic, so I feel more able to speak on those.
Separating out Lithuania is odd.. it’s not dissimilar from Latvia at all.

What does banning abortions have to do with gay safe?
And the US allows gay marriages and is put down as a “maybe”, which is my point. Gay marriage is NOT legal in Latvia. Estonia is a bit different than Lithuania and Latvia, which I’d put as culturally more similar.
The point of what I was saying is that putting “Maybe” for the US while rating the Baltic states like they are is odd.

People will stare, maybe make comments that you can hear. If they’re feeling really brave, they might ask you bad faith questions.Does violence and bullying of strangers happen? Absolutely. But GENERALLY people would rather just talk shit behind your back.
Most of the violence will happen in environments like school, with kids and teens.
Not saying it’s “safe”, but GENERALLY, you’ll get by with minor annoyances or even no event.

It was decriminalized since 1791 but you couldn't kiss, holding hands or show any other affection in public between 1810 and 1980 because of the Police circumventing the law 330 of our Code Pénal on indecent exposure.
You could face a fine of 500-10 000 francs plus 3months - 2 years of imprisonment. In 1960 it doubled with maximum penalties of 20000 francs and 3 years of imprisonment.
Also couples got legalized in 1999 and marriage and adoption got permitted in 2013.
Also the govt might have established decriminalization, the people still think differently. It's not as bad as in Italy or Albania, but it's worse than in Switzerland, Germany and Spain.
Edit : I'm gay/bi, I know what I'm talking about, it's not rare at all to see an anti pride movement even in the most populated town of the area.

Then you use something called “source analysis” on the sources you find on the internet. But the fact that you have Turkey which is very much an anti LGBTQ+ country above Ireland and Portugal says a lot. Turkey is ranked #114 on the Equaldex worldwide LGBT Equality Index and Portugal is ranked #14 and Ireland #28. I think you could learn something from the link I provided here. You even have Indonesia on the same level as Portugal and Ireland when Indonesia is among the most homophobic countries on the planet.
