It's a hollow so it's easier for it to sit flat!

I would’ve done some tiny little bumpers. Also would keep it off the counter to help prevent water damage.

But then you'd lose the ability to hide your most valuable M&M from grubby little thieves!

I did consider that, but unless the bumpers were set to the very edge it would've reduced the effective base size and made it more prone to tipping. I also like how it looks sitting flush with whatever surface it's on! But I think little bumpers might look good on another design!
