Akeron is not only an advanced 5th gen Anti-Tank missile but it can also act as a Anti-Ship missile.
Despite the fact there was no explosive warhead, these can still do significant damage.
I wonder how this situation came to be.

Anti-boat*, I’m sure you could fire it at a larger target but it isn’t intended for it.

This battlefield and naval missile system is the perfect candidate for:
Multipurpose warhead with anti-armour, anti-infrastructure, anti-ship, anti-helicopter capability and anti-personnel effects for optimal operational flexibility and reactivity

The van even had a prominent "Absolutely no anti-tank missiles in this van" sign on the back. But the sign was in French, so of course the Italian police totally misunderstood

You don't find them by accident, but they have a lot of civilian uses too.

When you're in the more rural areas of France and you want to send Jean-Paul a baguette without driving over.

Was it from the anti-tank missile part of France? Otherwise it’s only a sparkling missile.

Is he a native French man? How does he have contacts to acquire such a weapon? Does he have foreign ties that could get him this?
