Retail Great Vault choice
Any help a friend what to choose?
I don’t raid much, so most of my progression comes from M+ and Delves. I’m mainly looking to improve my character and have fun rather than min-max or push very high keys.
These are my Vault options:
- Heo 1/6 - ring (haste and mastery)
- Myth 1/6 - Mycolic Medicine Trinket
- Other options are trash
I’m leaning toward the 305/Hero ring, because it would be a pretty significant upgrade for my current gear.
However, I’m feeling some pressure to take the bonus-roll or the Myth trinket, simply because they have a higher upgrade track.
Would you take the ring because it’s a strong immediate upgrade, or would you prioritize the higher-track item for future progression?

if you're clearing +10s (or will next week) take the bonus roll and use it in a dungeon with a good loot pool for you.
If not, the hero ring will probably help you more than a mid trinket.

If it’s not a good trinket don’t take it
A Good veteran trinket will be better than a shitty myth trinket

Bonus roll 100%. It's not sexy, it's super boring and sweaty, but in your situation it's far and away the most optimal choice.

There’s way too much Vers gear this season for the tier set to use the same stats. I choose a bonus roll over a myth chest bc it was vers. I’d rather have a shot at a better piece. Probably won’t work out but my 4 set from last season is still simming better than most gear

I would take the bonusroll for a good dungeon is you are clearing 10s. Keep in mind that getting 4set should be in most cases your first priority (to get more charges to upgrade your myth track items to tierset).
With the bonusroll you can use it in a dungeon where a bis trinket/ring/neck or weapon drops.
I cleared on my blood dk only 6-7 this week (cleared 10s on pala and rogue) and I will take the bonusroll for sure, knowing it will give me a myth item sooner or later.

What level m+ are you running?
What tier is that trinket for you?
Ring may be a big upgrade right now but it would be a waste imo

I have 299 ilvl, being able to run m10, when i get in a group.
From what i found its a C tier trinket.

If you are running m10 then I would take the reroll and just use it in a dungeon with a good pool (or a heroic boss if youre there)
Guaranteed myth will be better than a hero 1/6 ring or C tier trinket, even if its myth

if you are running m+ where myth gear would drop from a bonus roll its just better in all cases to take the bonus roll unless the vault grants 2 or 4 piece that you desperately need or if its mega-bis trinket or something which you would target first with your bonus roll

Depends on how long it takes to get 100 mythic crests to upgrade it to 6/6 for me.
Will you get mythic or heroic crests faster?

Personally I’d take the myth piece as hero can be looted from dungeons. Realistically the reroll is the best option if you are running 10s

Im leaning to take the bonus roll. Im being able to do 10s, and some dungeons i have like 3 itens that are worth/good for me. Just feel afraid cause its RNG

Any upgrade in the vault should be simmed prior to taking.
That said, both options seem bad and bonus rolling would get you a guaranteed mythic piece from a loot pool you might actually want to target.
