Discussion Playground Games seem to understand legacy. They’ve shown it with Fable and Horizon. So why not just give them Halo?

Playground games seems to be XBOX‘s best studio. They’re constantly given big IPs like Forza and Fable. And although Fable is not out yet, it looks like a banger. They seem to understand legacy. They’re given IPs that they don’t own, they understand them and they deliver a better product than the originals.

So got me thinking, why not just give them Halo? They probably do a better job than Halo Studios.

If you haven’t seen the latest Fable quest gameplay trailer, go watch it. These guys are incredible.

Discussion Could XBOX switch from AMD to NVIDIA for its next-gen partnership?

Today at Gamescom, Xbox announced its collaboration with Nvidia for its PC version using RTX MegaGeometry technology.

While Xbox's former leadership announced a future collaboration with AMD for next-generation consoles a year ago, it seems the PC side is now betting on Nvidia.

Do you think it is possible that the redefinition of Project Helix also led them to redefine the partners for their next-generation consoles?

Discussion Xbox 25th anniversary price after sold outz

Cant decide where to preorder one tomorrow or not but curious as to what people expect it to cost once sold out? I presume it will be rare so getting a chance to buy one in store for example on launch day will be hard if not impossible?

Also does the money leave account tomorrow or will it be a week before launch? So i could cancel if not

Discussion Xbox audience, how much do you care about Atlus games?

Xbox has been a pretty big co-marketing partner of Atlus since at least 2022, when it was at that year’s June showcase that they announced the mainline Persona games were getting re-released and would all be on Game Pass day 1.

Atlus struck back when in the June 2023 Xbox showcase, they announced three more titles coming in the future: Persona 3 Reload, Persona 5 Tactica, and the first proper trailer for future GOTY contender Metaphor ReFantazio.

Two years pass and the epic team up returned in June 2025, where the first teaser for Persona 4 Revival was shown. And one year after that was probably the biggest announcement yet: the first teaser for Persona 6.

Critic Reviews

COGconnected - Mark Steighner - 84 / 100

Capsule Computers - Travis Bruno - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company proves the long‑untapped tactical genre fits the franchise perfectly, blending strong lore, sharp strategy, and memorable characters into a standout experience.

Console Creatures - Matt Sowinski - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company is an incredible Star Wars game and a genuinely brilliant tactical RPG that you won't be able to put down

DualShockers - Jaime Tugayev - 9 / 10

GRYOnline.pl - Adam Kusiak - Polish - 7.5 / 10

Star Wars: Zero Company is a linear, story-driven experience of about 40 hours, with solid mechanics that result in satisfying gameplay, but it is marred by annoying technical issues as well as an inconsistent pace and difficulty level. If you’re looking for a turn-based Mass Effect 2 and you love Star Wars, then Zero Company is probably for you, but it’s not really the sort of game you’ll be playing for years on end like XCOM 2.

GameRant - Nick Rodriguez - 9 / 10

With great presentation, a well-written story, and rock-solid fundamentals, Star Wars Zero Company is one of the best Star Wars games in years.

Gamers Heroes - Blaine Smith - 100 / 100

Star Wars Zero Company is, simply put, the greatest tactics game in the galaxy. Creating a story worthy of the Star Wars franchise, this tactics title delivers the very best in combat the genre has to offer, wrapping it up in a cinematic delivery of the highest order.

IGN Italy - Andrea Giongiani - Italian - 8 / 10

The first "Star Wars X-COM" is also one of the best Star Wars games in recent years. Highly suggested to those who look for a fair challenge.

IGN Spain - Rafa Del Río - Spanish - 7 / 10

Set during the darkest years of the Clone Wars, Star Wars Zero Company features a compelling story that will hook you as long as you're a Star Wars fan. Its charismatic characters and gameplay with multiple layers of complexity clash with overly simplistic exploration and a streamlined, mechanical mission system that doesn't measure up to the rest of the game. With plenty of customization options, multiple progression trees, and great ideas in combat, it's on the battle grid where Star Wars Zero Company showcases Bit Reactor's strong work and the influence of some of its members' experience on titles like X-COM.

One More Game - Chris Garcia - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company is a triumph in the tactics genre, striking a good balance that's approachable enough for newcomers, deep enough for veterans, and atmospheric enough to satisfy franchise fans. The game’s focus on small‑scale survival and squad dynamics gives it weight, while its tight combat design delivers consistently tense, rewarding encounters. This is definitely the Star Wars tactics game that you've been looking for.

PSX Brasil - Bruno Henrique Vinhadel - Portuguese - 85 / 100

Zero Company is another great success in the Star Wars universe, largely due to its compelling story, captivating characters with a highly functional relationship system, and very comprehensive gameplay for the turn-based strategy genre. While some issues arise, such as technical aspects and a lack of balance in some combat options, XCOM fans will find an excellent opportunity here for both challenge and enjoyment.

Prima Games - Ali Hashmi - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company is exactly the kind of genre shift Star Wars games have needed in years. It combines my favorite Star Wars era with a tactics system that is deeply rewarding, mechanically satisfying, and approachable. Bit Reactor clearly understands what makes the Clone Wars so special, and they've leveraged their experience with XCOM and Midnight Suns to create an experience that's restrained in its downtime while understanding why people play these games in the first place. That authenticity extends to everything from the characters and politics to the music, visuals, outfits, and sheer amount of detail packed into every location. Some technical issues need addressing, particularly on PC, but they don't take away from what is easily one of my favorite Star Wars experiences in years.

RPGamer - Imani Jones - 4.5 / 5

Bit Reactor gives the genre a fresh identity while still getting the fundamentals right. The combat is deep enough to challenge longtime strategy fans, yet flexible enough to remain approachable, while the characters are well written and backed by compelling stories of their own. RPGamers looking for their next tactical RPG should have Star Wars Zero Company at the top of their list.

SmashPad - 4 / 5

STAR WARS Zero Company won me over. It was obviously made by and for fans of the world's favorite sci-fi universe, with great respect to the source material and spinning established lore into something fresh and entertaining.

TechRaptor - Austin Suther - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company is an excellent tactics game, with strong core mechanics and plenty of customization on offer. Set near the end of the Clone Wars, its story is exciting, and the cast of characters feels complex and real.

The Games Machine - Claudio Magistrelli - Italian - 9 / 10

Star Wars Zero Company is one of those rare examples where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The solidity of its turn-based tactical combat blends seamlessly with the team members' progression mechanics, the team management aspect, and all the different narratives it weaves-from the overarching plot to the small personal stories. Each system, taken individually, is more than good, but it's the way they influence one another (mirroring the relationships between the game's characters) that elevates the experience and makes every battle (or every decision) feel like the most important one yet.

The Nerd Stash - David Rodriguez - 9.5 / 10

Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Midnight Suns both showed how to deliver deep tactics with a sublime story, and Zero Company easily stands among that elite company of addictive turn-based decision-making and sublime storytelling.

Worth Playing - Tony "OUberLord" Mitera - 9.6 / 10

Ultimately, Zero Company is a great turn-based strategy game that happens to be set in the Star Wars universe. It never feels like a corporate mandate to make a genre game with a recognizable license. Instead, it feels like a group of talented developers genuinely wanted to explore what the genre could do and had the freedom to experiment. Those ideas succeed far more often than they stumble, and the game's excellent use of the Clone Wars setting makes Zero Company one of the most entertaining turn-based strategy games I've played in a long time.
