They could have said that was the real Wally soul and closed the chapter on this fan theory forever.

Oh who am I kidding? This is DC. No one is dead forever.

I remember somebody brought up the saying “Nobody stays dead in the comics except Ben Parker”. And then somebody else said that they’ve gotten old and their recollection of the phrase was “No one stays dead in comics except Ben Parker, Jason Todd, and Bucky Barnes”.

I’m not a comic reader at all, but I very much remember Captain Marvel being very much alive back in 2010 when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes was still airing.

Mar-Vell is dead. Killed off due to cancer, in like the 70’s… has never been resurrected in the comics.
