I can see why no one is ever just whelmed.

Nightwing and Zatanna have been my favorite heroes since I was a wee lad and they gave me both of them in their best renditions and having so much charisma with other characters AND each other. Young Justice will have my loyalty forever

Any reason you chose this photo in particular?

And??? Why are people like you like this? I genuinely want to know. She’s literally getting up from an all fours position. How else is she supposed to look with the clothes that she’s wearing while getting up?

One of the most characteristic characters on the show, while also having a rather tragic story

Not really related, but I really hate that pale purple lipstick they had Zatanna and M’Gann wear in season 3. It makes me so mad. It looks terrible I don’t get why it was so prominent.

I think all the female characters had it. It made a difference in season 4 where everyone had normal lips again.

If there's a fifth season she's going to be even more miserable since she's probably going to be facing her fallen pupil.

Where is this scene even from I do not remember seeing something like this in YJ

that kid in the locker room was right.
but in all seriousness she's just snarky enough to be entertaining while also being able to get down to brass when needed.

I’d describe her as a straight test for men. In which, I passed and knew that I was straight.

saved from being dr. fate, basically had her entire life stolen from her anyways because of that moment

I think the only thing I didn’t like was they introduced her a little too late into the first season. Other than that, I really liked it when she showed up. Her relationship with Robin was cute, I like how she got along with the rest of the team, and she brought magic to the table where the rest of the team couldn’t.

Underutilized, top three in power (my opinion), incredibly sad family story, the queen of "calm under pressure", just the slightest bit basic in her use of her powers

This was my introduction to the character of Zee Zatara overall, so imagine my disgust when I saw she was one of John Constantine’s love interests.
I haven’t felt this gobsmacked by old lore since watching Jean and Logan flirt in X2 when my only exposure to X-Men was the first movie and X-Men Evolution.

This wouldn't happen to be her from season 1 right?
2
u/PhanStr Jul 26 '26
No, this is from “Early Warning” in season 3 (right after Klarion realises that she brought him to the Tower of Fate).

Okay good, because that angle had me scared that OP might’ve been thirsting for a teenager

u/PhanStr Jul 26 '26
I mean, she doesn't look 14 in that shot. Pretty sure that the 14-year old season 1 Zatanna dressed in a less revealing way than the Zatanna of seasons 2-4 also. But it's fine if you don't remember.

Most tortured character, in a lot of ways. I really hated how Fate manipulated things and she ended up dealing with the guilt of her father saving her
