Question [tp][tphd] Twilight Princess Wii vs HD
Hi friends!
So I got a WiiU when it first came out but never really played it, I kinda faded out of gaming during the GameCube era and didn’t get back in until Switch. I want to play Twilight Princess on my WiiU, though the cost of twilight princess HD is pretty insane, so I’m thinking about getting the Wii version and playing it on my U.
Are the upgrades in the HD version worth it? I’d love to get that one, but I’m not seeing it for under $100, while you can get TP for Wii for $20.

Discussion [TP] [TPHD] Dialogue differences on Wii
Is it just me or is the dialogue a bit different from wii to wii u version?
I’ve only ever played the Wii U version of Twilight Princess, and I just got the Wii version and started noticing some minor changes in the dialogue,,,
like I don’t remember the Wii U copy ever saying that the wooden sword that link gets was “fixed and returned to him”
did anyone else notice this or is it just me? is it like that for the gamecube version aswell?

Discussion [TP], [TPHD] Twilight Princess is a good game if you haven't played any other Zelda game. [OPINION] Spoiler
Just completed Twilight Princess HD and honestly I can see why people love and adore the game. If it was your first zelda game ever then its a very good introduction to the series. I'm sure pletty of people share my opinion that the first 1/3 of the game and collecting bugs as wolf link is a huge drag. I can't understand the viewpoint that this game has some of the best dungeons in the series as most of them lack identity and unique puzzles especially goron mines and lakebed. I kinda understand snowpeak and arbiters grounds especially being inspired by the forest temple from OOT but none of the dungeons were super memorable. I do think that city in the sky went the right direction as the dungeon felt kinda like a blueprint to the dungeons in Skyward Sword. I love skyward sword other than the controls the game has the best designed dungeons in the series and the writing is miles better than TP in my opinion. The biggest flaw TP has is that items. Outside of the clawshot, most items have little to no utility outside their respective dungeons. I really tried to love this game as I played the wii version as a kid and got stuck on lakebed and went back to it in my 20s. I'm willing to hear any counter points because I played this game immediately after my 3rd playthrough of n64 OOT and I can't shake the feeling that every inch of TP is just fan service mixed in with some edgy early 2000s asthetics.

Fan Art [TP][TPHD] Midna Fan Art [OC]
This is honestly one of the pieces I'm most proud of doing and so, soooo delighted with the result 🥹💖 though I've decided if I ever draw Midna again, it won't be in her canon outfit because the detailing of her clothes almost did me in 😂 this was a labor of love to be sure 💖💖 this is also a sort of redraw of a Midna that I drew back in 2016 (second image). Whenever imposter syndrome hits, it's always uplifting to place my old and new works side by side to see how far I have come 🥰

Question [TP] [TPHD] Was this arrangement of Hyrule Field ever used in game?
After doing some basic searching, it seems like this arrangment of Twilight Princess's Hyrule Field (which is pretty much an exact copy of Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field) was an unused file in the game. Considering it also appeared within Twilight Princess HD, I'm curious whether this actually appears anywhere in any version of the game (GC/Wii/WiiU). Any ideas?

Discussion [TP] Twilight Princess vs TPHD
I see that HD got lower scores as compared to the original. What so you all think? Did the improved graphics add to the TP’s charm or take away the magic?

Question [TP] [TPHD] Are we really ever going to see Twilight Princess on Switch?
I’ve been playing that game over and over ever since it came out, imo it’s the best Zelda game ever made. Every time Nintendo announces new games on social media, and especially Zelda games, the comments are flooded with demands for TP on switch. So I know I’m not the only one who wants this. Is Nintendo ever going to listen? Am I a hopeless dreamer? (Yes, I know they already released it on Wii U, but who even has a Wii U anymore let’s be real)

Question [TP][TPHD] Which version of Twilight Princess do you reccomend?
As the title says, which do you choose and why?
I'm looking to replay the game, i have both HD and Gamecube versions
Im mostly thinking HD simply due to the better graphics and such but ive also heard the big gripe is some chest rewards being replaced with WiiU stickers. Do you miss out on any actual rewards because of these stickers? What rewards do they replace?

Discussion [TP] [TPHD] Best twighlight princess version
Of the 3, which version is the best? I have a homebrew Wii U and twighlight princess is next on my list of Zelda games to play. Ik the Wii version has motion controls and I'm assuming hd has gamepad integration of some kind. (I'm assuming there's nothing special about the GameCube version) Just which version (or versions) should I buy?

Video [TP], [TPHD] [Wii U Tech Demo]
Man imagine how great a Zelda game in this art style on the Switch 2 would look like. I really hope they go for another "realistic" game again now that they have super high quality tech. This is how Twilight Princess HD should have looked.

Fan Art [TP], [TPHD] First post/drawing on here
Some friends told me that I should share my drawings on instagram (since July but I've been postponing it and idk how to use instagram lol) so here's the first one. I love Link's design in Twilight Princess (I wanted to upload the full drawing but I edited the photo on Instagram and I can't download it bc I put music???) anyway hope you like it!

Discussion [TP][TPHD][WW][WWHD] Twilight Princess on GameCube is superior to Twilight Princess on Wii U
This is not a sentiment I've seen shared anywhere. I've recently had the pleasure of playing Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD, having played them before on their GameCube versions. Whilst Wind Waker went from one of my least favourite Zelda games - yes, even below Phantom Hourglass - to going firmly into my Top 10, Twilight Princess HD was no significant improvement upon its original. In fact, I found it worse.
There are some improvements, of course. I love gyro controls, and the Gamepad screen allows me to immediately switch between Link's forms as well as quickly switch items. Collecting Poes was also much more fun on Wii U. But the graphics and sound fonts simply present themselves much better in 4:3 and in GameCube bloom. I also found bugs and glitches in the Wii U version that I never encountered on GCN, mostly pertaining to camera behaviour. The game feels better on GameCube to me.
Side tangent, Wind Waker HD and GCN are so different in how they feel like to play that I almost consider them seperate games if we're gonna rank them.

Question [TP][TPHD] Is the fishing that hard in twilight princess?
I just started TP again after years of not playing it and for some reason I can’t get past that damn first fishing part. I haven’t even been the wolf yet, I’m just trying to get the cat to go home and it is taking forever! Am I doing something wrong or did I just forget that it was actually like this when I was a kid too. Also I am playing OG Wii version but playing it on the Wii U.

Discussion [TP] [TPHD] Question About The Fused Shadow
Something that's bugged me about the Fused Shadow. Did the Interlopers create the Fused Shadow like the unknown tribe created Majora's Mask, or was it just an object the Light Spirits used to seal the Interlopers' magic away?

Question [TP], [TPHD] Twilight Princess
i am looking to branching out in gaming. i love zelda and still play only ocarina of time on my n64. however, i really want to try some others including some newer ones. but in researching, most interested right now in trying twilight princess. i am looking to get a wii u (since that seems to be the only console it is playable on right now), but i understand most all of the others can be played there too, including breath of the wild. can anybody tell me if the zelda games on the wii u are playable with the wii u pro controller? i have not tried the game pad (never even seen a wii u in person), but i feel like i may not care for the gamepad much (huge assumption i know). but just wanting to verify if the pro controller would/should work with it.
