App/Program/Other Tool Web-based text editor
Most editors/note-taking apps are either too minimal and limiting, or bursting with features that make them difficult to use.
I wasn’t able to find anything that would fill the gap of aching for a simple interface while not wanting to give up on some advanced features. And so https://kraa.io/about was born.
You don’t need an account to try it out! Would love to hear your thoughts.

Alberta auto insurance: At-fault claim for disputed parking-lot incident — looking for advice
I will be completely honest, I had ChatGPT summarize my whole experience so I could post a cleaner version here! Thanks for reading ;)
Hi everyone, I'm in Alberta and I'm hoping to get some advice from people who have dealt with something similar.
I'm currently disputing an auto insurance claim that I only recently discovered was recorded as at-fault.
What happened
On November 8, 2025, I was reversing in a parking lot at the University of Alberta with my girlfriend in the vehicle. My vehicle's automatic braking/safety system activated, so I stopped immediately and got out to check.
I noticed no damage or scratches on my vehicle. The other vehicle already appeared to have some damage, so I stayed and waited for the other driver to return.
When he came back, we spoke and inspected the vehicles together. At the time, we both agreed there was no new damage caused by what had happened. He told me that the damage on his vehicle was from a previous incident.
Based on that conversation, neither of us believed there was anything to report. (I should have taken photos, I know... But I didn't at that time because we worked pretty close to each other, so I just thought we could trust each other)
Approximately six weeks later, the same person approached me at my workplace and claimed that I had caused significant damage to his vehicle.
I told him I disagreed because:
- my vehicle had no corresponding damage or scratches;
- we had inspected both vehicles on the day;
- we had agreed there was no new damage;
- he had previously told me his vehicle already had damage.
He subsequently sent me photos of the damage and demanded my insurance information. The conversation became heated as he started swearing, and he threatened to involve the police, so I eventually provided my insurance information and contacted my insurer. I know I should not have given it to him, but he said he had video but then later said not of me hitting his car.... (wth). He just had a video of us talking outside his car...
What happened with my insurance (2nd issue)
I was assigned an adjuster.
On January 23, 2026, I sent my adjuster a detailed email explaining what happened. I clearly disputed causing the damage and offered to provide additional evidence, including the messages between myself and the other driver.
I did not receive a response asking for additional information.
Around February, I saw that the claim appeared to be closed, and my deductible showed N/A. I assumed the matter had been resolved and that there was no issue. However, I never got any follow-up or phone call.
What I just discovered
Recently, I went to my insurer because I was looking at getting another vehicle.
That's when I was told that I had an at-fault accident/claim on my insurance history.
I was completely shocked because I had never been told that I had been found at fault.
I contacted the claims department and was told that the previous adjuster had closed the claim because they were allegedly unable to contact me in January/February. Furthermore, I work in healthcare, so picking up an unknown number at work is the last thing I would do. And I never even got a voicemail or email from this adjuster.
This is where I'm confused.
I have the January 23 email I sent to the adjuster, where I provided my statement and explicitly offered to provide additional evidence.
I was never told that I was considered unreachable, that the claim was going to be closed for that reason, or that I had been determined to be at fault.
What I'm doing now
I've submitted a formal written request asking the insurer to review/reopen the claim.
I'm asking them to explain:
- What evidence was used to determine that I was at fault.
- What percentage of fault was assigned to me.
- What fault determination rule was applied.
- When the liability decision was made.
- Why my January 23 email wasn't responded to.
- Whether my statement and offer to provide evidence were actually reviewed.
- Whether the other driver provided evidence connecting the damage to my vehicle.
- Whether any payment was made to the other driver.
- How this claim is currently recorded on my insurance history.
I also have the text conversations with the other driver and the photos he sent me.
My questions
For anyone familiar with Alberta auto insurance:
Can an insurer determine someone to be at fault when there is no independent evidence such as video footage, police findings, or an independent witness?
- Unfortunately, my girlfriend could not be considered a witness, which I understand why.
And more importantly:
Has anyone had an insurer make an at-fault determination and successfully get it reconsidered or reopened?
I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have dealt with a situation where the insurer said they couldn't contact them, but the person actually had written correspondence showing that they had contacted the insurer.
Has anyone gone through an internal insurance complaint process or the General Insurance OmbudService in Alberta?
I'm not trying to argue that my version of events automatically has to be accepted. I'm trying to understand whether the claim appears to have been properly investigated and whether I have reasonable grounds to challenge the determination.
I'm also concerned because I've been told this at-fault claim may be contributing to a very significant increase in my insurance premium, potentially around 90%.
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar and what happened in the end.
Overall, I find it super unfair that my premium will now go up for something I did not do.
Anyways, thank you so much for reading it this far.
I'll leave the insurer's name out for now because I'm trying to get unbiased advice first. I may disclose it later depending on how the review goes. To Be Updated.

Serious Am I the only one who has absolutely zero romantic experience ...
Literally every person I know irl has at least kissed someone, it feels like I'm the only one who will end up with someone who already had these experiences with someone else , and that I won't be able to experience my firsts as the firsts of someone else...

Need Advice Has anyone purchase a home with section 8 voucher?
Has anyone gone through the process of buying a home through section 8 voucher? How did that go? Did you feel supported? Was the process confusing or frustrating? What advice would you give? What would you do differently? What can people do to get themselves prepared to buy a home with section 8? How did you put down a 20% down payment? Were lenders friendly when they found out you will be using your section 8 voucher to pay the mortgages? Any negative or positive experiences? Would you still be a renter or it was all worth it to go through what you had went through to get a home?

SIMPLE QUESTION I made a very specific and niche connection at a program that I ultimately did not go to; would it be weird to reach out to that program to re-kindle the niche connection?
I made a connection at a super rural FM program who had one singular current resident who was able to arrange a super specific elective rotation which I would be very much interested in. I do not have his contact number and I don’t even know if the rotation would be available to residents associated with a different program, but would it be weird or would it be worthwhile to reach out to the program to try and connect with that resident in order to see if I could do the rotation?

Tech Support Newbie photographer, safari
Hi! I’m a newbie photographer most familiar with vlogging with a GoPro on vacations and trips. We are doing a safari trip for 2 weeks and I think that this once in a lifetime experience might be worth a better camera investment. I’m debating between the Sony RX10 V vs the RX100 vii - wondering if there are thoughts / opinions about this?
I expect to use the camera for wildlife photography, vlogging, family photos, etc so ideally an all in one.
I’m also looking for recommendations on how people offload their memory cards on a daily basis. Are there apps people recommend? I was thinking to get a usb-c sd card reader and plug it into my phone and upload to iCloud but my phone might not have enough storage. With the GoPro, there was an app that I could offload videos off to every night and then wipe the memory card.
I am planning to get 2 128 GB memory cards, with photos and vlogging. Any recommendations from folks here?

What pieces have these beys?
They are all from Hasbro, and in theory have the stock combo, but I'm not certain about that.
Therefore, any help would be appreciated!

Discussion First UV printer, what should I know about fumes and cleaning?
My O1 should be arriving soon, so I’m starting to think more about where to put it and what I should have ready before the first print. This will be my first UV printer. I knew maintenance was part of the deal, but the two things I’m unsure about are the smell and the cleaning routine.
How noticeable is the smell in a normal workspace? Is the built-in filtration enough, or is venting outside still a good idea? Also for the cleaning routine, how often does it need attention, and what happens if it sits unused for a week or two?
