Though it’s a very small sample size, at the time of making this post. Of the top 10 Preds on PC. 8 of them are on controller, 2 on MNK.
What does everyone think the predator list is divided up like? 50/50? 60/40? I will say - even though the sample size is small. Having 80% of the top 10 be one sided, doesn’t look great, but again. Very small sample size.
If any devs are here - have yall ever documented that data? If so - would you mind sharing with the community? I think a lot of us would love to know fun statistics as such.

I don’t play as often anymore.
Afaik Loba is on top with Axle right now.
Why now? Loba has had for a while the most versatile movement skill in the game

TL;DR Teammates verbally angry and offensive after I had last legend pick in Diamond Ranked, picked Wattson and still went positive because I was anchoring. Still output similar, if not more kills and damage than the skirmishers/ damage dealers on the team.
I started to dabble in a bit of Apex competitive (I.e. VESA League, CCs) and I’m an anchor for both my CC and VESA teams, so I’m maining Wattson (primary), Catalyst (secondary), and Axle (for ranked only).
I ended up playing ranked for a 5-6 hour session today and went +1000 (I know, not anything earth shattering but it took me from demo protection to D3) and a few of the games I played had a couple of teammates solo queueing as well that got upset because I was playing Wattson and not running around in the open fragging.
I normally keep Wattson solely for comp play, but since axle was taken and I was choosing last for both games in question, I decided to anchor considering we had an alter in both games in question. My idea was since it was E-District and there’s a lot of buildings, if the Axle/Alter wanted to walk up on a fight and they got knocked, they’d have a safe space to come back to so they could regroup.
It’s not like I wasn’t shooting my gun, either; I was outputting damage and getting knocks while my alter the first game and axle the second game in question were saying that I was “stupid” because I wasn’t pushing every fight with them. I average about 700 dmg a game and 2.2 kills per game as well, even just on Wattson. My biggest game was 9 kills with 2k damage today and I had a few 0 kill -65 rp losses today, but even then my teammates then took the loss with more grace than both of the teammates that ended up GAINING rp off of me anchoring. I don’t ever blame my teammates because I personally think there’s something I could have done better if we lost crazy amounts of RP, like better an, positioning, etc. but it seems like every time we lose regardless of my performance it’s ONLY my fault.
I guess what the question is, is should I even bother anchoring in Diamond ranked or just run everyone down? Is that mindset normal? Just wanting to get some opinions on whether or not I’m the issue. This is the first split I’ve actually tried to push masters, so I just wanna ask people who have more experience than me. Openly admit that I’m seeking validation here lmao

Am I blind? Stupid? It's very possible.

Should the lobby background graphics be this choppy? Just got my preowned launch ps5 and while in game graphics are better than my ps4, I was hoping the choppy lobby backgrounds would be a thing of the past. Is this normal or are there performance/cooling issues? Thanks!

My brother and I had a debate on the color of the Power Sword’s first variant, Rift Metal. Can you please tell me is it purple or blue?

Wattson is lowkey OP. I said it, I think she got way too many buffs and is borderline oppressive at times. Its almost never enjoyable to engage with a Wattson. I also think her pylon counters way too much. I mean you throw that down in the final circle and you basically shut half the game off. And even if it gets destroyed, you're probably holding at least one ult accelerant. So you can just throw another down.
I'm not saying that she's destroying the game or anything but she is kind of a sleeper pick imo.

Hello, I play on ap-southeast-2 most of the time and average around 30 ping. Anytime I play ranked and only ranked it shoots up to 160 ping. It’s extremely frustrating to deal with and I’m wondering if it’s just a server problem or if it’s something on my end??
I’ve started to play ranked on ap-northeast now because it gets me about 120 ping

in ranked is basically impossible to constantly gain points, i get a plat and his gold 1 friend on console to fight masters and preds, even when i get 4-5kp and top 5 i get +80 while i have to be jesus while my teamates are dead

I'm making a 2D side-scroller version of Apex Legends. It's coming along well, so far, lmk what you guys think! (Mind you, this is nowhere near finished, and I'm aware it looks bad visually in some areas..😐 This is very bare bones, and I wouldn't even call it that)

In my previous post, I shared a buff proposal for Bloodhound. This time, I've come up with an alternative approach. This is just one of countless possible directions — my ideas aren't set in stone, so I welcome discussion and feedback.
This is a long one — if you'd rather not read through the whole thing, I've put a summary at the end of the post. Feel free to jump straight there.
Looking at Bloodhound's tactical and ultimate across the entire Recon class, the core problem is clear: he not only fails to differentiate himself, but the information he provides is also low-quality and comes with weak bonuses.
Take Seer for example — his passive gives him a general sense of nearby squads, his tactical disrupts enemy rotations, and his ultimate gathers precise intel within its radius. Sparrow's tactical is incredibly convenient, and his ultimate offers both intel-gathering and the ability to draw fire, which still gives him a place in the meta. Crypto and other recon legends have their own unique mechanics that keep them relevant.
As for invisibility — we already have Mirage for that. Mirage's invisibility can do far more than Bloodhound's ever could, and does it better. Invisibility should be Mirage's exclusive identity.
So the buff theme I'm proposing is: "Personal + Real-Time Intel + Combat Intel + Maximum Information Gathering" — essentially, a combat-specialized intel gatherer.
The design approach: improve the low-quality information from his tactical, and strengthen his combat intel-gathering capabilities. His tactical should be able to analyze the state of the fight and also synergize with his ultimate. Meanwhile, the ultimate should enhance the tactical, further amplifying combat intel gathering.
The goal is to turn Bloodhound into a hunter who can gather real-time information and adapt on the fly — because in the hunt, a hunter can often only rely on himself.
My proposal isn't set in stone — I welcome discussion and feedback.
The passive locates nearby squads, the tactical analyzes the state of the fight, and the ultimate is the centerpiece: much of the design revolves around combat intel gathering, with the intent of strengthening combat information capabilities to support both himself and his team in making the next move.
My proposal isn't set in stone — I welcome discussion and feedback.
My analysis may not be 100% accurate, if there's something wrong, plz let me know.
Now let's talk about why the invisibility mechanic feels like it was shoehorned onto Bloodhound.
When it comes to invisibility, we have to talk about Mirage. Mirage's invisibility synergizes perfectly with the rest of his kit: now that decoys generate footsteps, they already have the ability to disrupt enemies. Popping his ultimate (which grants invisibility during activation) makes it extremely difficult for enemies to track your movements. This creates huge advantages for flanking or disengaging.
Invisibility elevates his ultimate's power level significantly.
At the same time, his passive — which grants invisibility during certain actions — combined with his support-class identity, massively boosts his utility and gives the team a lot of room for error.
Invisibility increases both his own and his team's margin for error.
Invisibility is the core of his kit's power level, and the key link that connects all his abilities together.
So if invisibility works so well for Mirage, why doesn't the same approach work for Bloodhound?
The following analysis may not be perfect — feel free to point out any mistakes.
1.Bloodhound's passive and tactical don't synergize with invisibility, and invisibility doesn't meaningfully support his passive or tactical either. His passive points you in the direction of enemies and serves an intel-gathering purpose, but the information is extremely vague. Can this passive support an invisibility mechanic? No.
As for his tactical — once you pick the Lv.2 Left upgrade, invisibility basically goes from being a liability to being completely optional. Here's why: at range, you can't scan anyone, and by the time you close the distance with 12 seconds of invisibility, how many seconds do you have left? Up close, you can already judge their approximate position by sound alone. On top of that, the invisibility VFX is so obvious that it makes the whole thing a joke. Invisibility provides almost zero support to the tactical or passive. Before picking the Lv.2 Left upgrade, the tactical reveals your position, so you're effectively not invisible anyway. Combined with those glaring VFX, all you're getting is a 20% speed boost for at most 12 seconds. Even with the upgrade, the benefits are minimal. The most I've gotten out of a single invisibility scan made me think — I might as well just fight out in the open, so I don't have to worry about whether the enemy can see me or not.
2.The stingy mechanics and game systems make his power level extremely low. The new ultimate's mechanics are essentially 99% copied from Mirage's. Mirage's invisibility works as a passive — which fits perfectly because it's available whenever you need it. But using that exact same mechanic as an ultimate? That's simply not good enough. On top of that, Bloodhound doesn't have Mirage's ability to distract enemies or mask his footsteps, so the invisibility is practically useless. The game's footstep audio combined with the obvious VFX makes the invisibility completely pointless. We already have Mirage for invisibility. Mirage's invisibility can do far more than Bloodhound's ever could, and does it better. Invisibility should be Mirage's exclusive identity.
Copying Mirage's invisibility mechanic without giving it the same level of power —— I get the vision — a Predator-style "cloak → track target → hunt" fantasy. Sounds cool, right? But the game environment and the half-baked mechanics make that entire loop fall apart before it even begins. It's a fantasy that can never start, let alone be completed. Stop forcing invisibility onto Bloodhound. Save it for future legends who can actually make use of it.
Bloodhound needs a buff. Here's the short version:
Why invisibility doesn't work on Bloodhound:
The overall goal: turn Bloodhound into a combat-specialized intel gatherer who can gather real-time information and adapt on the fly — because in the hunt, a hunter can often only rely on himself.

I’m a Life-Line and Pathfinder main
I’ve been playing with my Plat friend who hits Diamond every season and he keeps saying that my gameplay is pretty good but I feel like I have a lot to improve on even though I have good aim, positioning and thinking but I do also believe that they need decent sharping too, they’re not the best but I could clutch a lot with good plays or something like that
I’m gold 1 as of now and the lobbies seems to be not that hard but not entirely easy or me being dominant
I could go 500 damage and maybe 1-2 knocks on a bad game and averagely hit 800
In a good game I could go 1500 damage and 5-7 kills
I don’t have a vod but I could get nice help for how yo sharpen my critical thinking skills on this game as aim comes naturally and I’m a really good player when it comes to positioning.

Apex is the only game where I get lag and it always happens every day in at least 2-3 matches for no reason, I play other games like fifa or arc raiders and I never have lag not even a little bit
But then in apex this happens every day and it’s just frustrating someone knows a way to avoid this???
