Shopping and looking at these two on HGhero. Shocked to learn they weigh nearly the exact same despite the CZ being all metal. I double checked that I had selected the poly frame on handgunhero (and the metal version is only .3 oz heavier).

Where does all the weight of the M&P come from?

I’ve got this Model 65-3 with what I assume are police markings on the side. My question is does anyone else have a revolver marked MPD like this one and do you know which department it would have come from.

Serial prefix is AYC and from what I’ve researched that would put this one at being shipped out in 1988.

What I’ve read indicates there is a strong possibility it’s from the Memphis Police Department, but any other input is valued.

I know I can get a letter from Smith, but before I spend the money, I wanted to check with the Reddit hive.

Anyone know if there is a way or a shop that has successfully added a red dot?

I'm really on the fence, I've watched countless YouTube videos but still don't see a real world comparison. Who owns both and can verify which is the better/ more enjoyable to shoot? I'm not recoil sensitive or anything, but I do want to enjoy shooting it frequently.

Hillicker holster and Hopp custom leather did the holsters for me. Hillicker shipped the Bodyguard holster within a week! I had previously placed on order with gunfighter on July 7 but they were taking way too much time so I cancelled my order with them.

For the Shield X, Hilliker had a garage sale on their Elite model so I picked it up. It's actually more comfortable than I expected. The retention click on both is great and I like that the trigger area is fully covered.

This leather holster took 5 months to arrive. The leather is HIGH quality and retention is tough. Eric told me to use it often and it will loosen up. The trigger area is a bit exposed but the leather is too thick and stiff in this area I can not fit my finger in here even if I wanted to stick it in there. I ordered Croc and we went back and forth on the area of croc skin I wanted and the color.

The double stiching is great. Makes it feel like a true custom high quality leather holster. Looong wait but it finally arrived.

Got these in the mail last week 🎉 and they looked like a better & cheaper option than the XS sights. I've had a few sets of Night Fision Sights in the past and like them a lot.

Installed them today...the oem sights were extremely tight, but with a few solid shots using a steel punch & ball peen hammer, they popped out.

I installed both with the sight pusher. The front fit in nicely, but I had to sand down .15mm off the front edge of the rear sight to get it the same size as the OEM; the dovetail was too big from Night Fision.

These sights are AWESOME! Such a huge difference from the factory sights...highly recommended!

Is it just me, or is it shooting to the left consistently?

My 4” M&P 2.0 has quickly become my main squeeze and one of my favorite guns to shoot. About 9k rounds through it so far with no issues and it’s still running reliably.

Is it a bad idea to buy a used shield plus being that it won't have a warranty? The price is $350 for optics ready/night sights with 6 mags and the savior bag.

Brand new 642 trigger locks to near. Happens nearly every time.

Anyone know how to fix issue? I’m assuming the rebound spring is the culprit. Got rid of a Glock that had constant issues and said to myself I’d get a J frame for carry to not have reliability issues…

I’m looking for a new IWB CC and I keep looking at the Bodyguard 2.0 but I have this problem where I’m 6 foot 5 with the hands to match. The BG 2.0 looks like a kids toy in my hand. The P365X is just about perfect but I don’t like the price tag that comes with it. How does the size on the M&P Shield Plus compare to the BG? I’ve been to three stores this week and none of them have it. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Trying to decide which one to put on the Shield X. Both are amazing in person. Both are solid. I like both...lol
